Marchand puffed his cheeks out to Byuglien once and it made him laugh. I don't think he's that sensitive where he gets upset over a lighthearted pizza joke.
From a player! with a rep for chirping. Why would you take it from a broadcasting nobody?

I'm ok with hordes defending Edwards. IMHO his just a bad broadcaster with lame shtick. In my 55+ watching the Bruins on TV, I'll never consider him someone that I'd miss.
Everyone is entitled as they say.

Just hope he is physically able to call the game and his cognitive/speech issues are now largely resolved. He was not in a good space (speech wise) last year but if he's back as the B's homer fan and on top of his game, then might as well have him call it this year.

What does it matter who said it? Faloons feelings were hurt. Weren't they?

Jack was awful last year. You can wish him well and hope he’s in good health and want a better play by play guy.
This isn’t a minor league hockey city, it’s ok to have expectations of a decent broadcast.
I know with NESN that’s probably not going to happen.

I loathe Jack's antics, but Dave Shea might be the worst sports broadcaster in history. He knew nothing about hockey when he got the job, and he amazingly got stupider about the game as the years went on.
For about ten years, all Dave Shea said on the broadcasts was 'Bourque's hurt Fred!'

Happy to hear that Jack is apparently back in good health. I just hope that his performance last year isn't the new normal. Because he was abysmal. I can't take another 82 games of him trying to say Sophia Jurkstowicz.

I have lived through Fred, Dave, Dale and Jack. I don’t remember much of Fred live but he was a class act and #1 from clips I have watched. I put Jack at #2, only complaint is for such an alleged homer he gets too excited when the other team scores.

Dave helped me in grammar class when I realized “shot and a score!” Was not proper English
