Still early in the season, but Alan Lyszczarczyk (Eliteprospects) is one point back from leading Sudbury in scoring, with 12 points in 15 games.

Sudbury has Tel Aviv-born David Levin (Eliteprospects) on their roster, who was the first overall pick in the OHL draft this year, and has 8 points in 13 game as a 16-year-old. However he seems like he's got Canadian citizenship, but still interesting to see someone born in Israel doing this well.

There is a couple of Bulgarian players I am following:

Probably not a prospect anymore but he is the only Bulgarian playing in North America at the moment. Who knows, maybe ECHL would be realistic?

Sounds like Alan Łyszczarczyk has made the Sudbury Wolves. Still hoping Poland locks him up for international duty, his Father did play for Poland so that might mean something....

Poland has Lyszczarczyk on their preliminary roster for the World Junior Division IB tournament starting in a few days. While that doesn't mean he's on the team yet (though that will be released shortly as the tournaments starts on the 12th), its a good sign that he will be playing for Poland.

Now word out of the Polish Ice Hockey Federation is that Sudbury won't release Lyszczarczyk due to needing him as the team has injury problems. Poles are obviously upset at this, as it kind of ruins their plans at the last minute, and I do believe that CHL teams are obligated to release players for IIHF tournaments. Though I guess its good that Lyszczarczyk is committed to the Polish team, even if he won't be playing this year.

Awesome news! Thanks a lot for posting this Kaiser, yeah it sounds like he accepted the invite, even if he has to miss the tournament due to an injury. It was scary because I think he's good enough to make the Czech, roster, even if it was for a 4th line role.

Interesting to note that Samuel Duggan, who's been mentioned here before and was seen as one of the better players out of the UK, has been left off the team's final roster. Granted he is only 17, but he's good enough to have played 14 games in the Swedish SuperElit league (with 5 points) this season, and did play for the British last year (2 goals in 5 games as a 16-year-old on the winning team). Wonder if he declined the offer to stay in Sweden (which is obviously a lot better than the likes of Slovenia and Ukraine), as he was named to the preliminary list.

Duggan, who plays in Örebro in Sweden, has had to pull out of the squad because of injury.

For Hungary I would add:

Vilmos Gallo

Vilmos Gallo featured on the IIHF website:

2016 IIHF WC: Last in, First to Score/

19-year-old forward Vilmos Gallo had a debut with the Hungarian national team before over 7,000 fans in the country’s biggest arena that he will never forget.
Hungary was dominating its opening game against Lithuania but had trouble scoring on Mantas Armalis until the fourth line scored in the 15th minute. It was Vilmos Gallo’s shot that somehow went into the net after hitting Armalis, a goalie Gallo knows from Swedish Hockey League play. Eventually Hungary blanked their Baltic opponent 4-0.

...

In three months Gallo hopes to represent his country against even tougher opponents. Last year Hungary edged Poland in the game for promotion to the top division. In May the team will travel to St. Petersburg for the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in only the second top-level World Championship participation in the post-war era after competing in the 2009 Worlds in Switzerland.

...

“I hope so much to be there. When they went up last year I prepared all summer for this. It’s my goal for the season. I really hope to make the team,†Gallo said.
With good performances here in Budapest and in the upcoming weeks in Linkoping he hopes to convince coach Rich Chernomaz for the ticket to St. Petersburg.

Still trying to figure out if this is for 15 year olds or 18 year olds. Anyhow, for Austria, 18s, CHL draft eligibles would be Felix Maxa, Benjamin Nissner, Daniel Obersteiner, and someone should look at Kele Steffler this upcoming U18 to see if he's any good.
Our U16 is loaded but they'll get the exposure I'm not worried about that.

The above scouting report on Steffler certainly makes him sound quite promising, but difficult to tell how much home-town eyes doing the assessment might be playing a part in that.

One guy I'd be interested to know if anyone has heard about is the Lithuanian Mark Kaleinikovas... scored 23 points in 28 games in the Latvian Virsliga as a 17 year old. No doubt it's not the strongest league in the world but presumably he's going up against grown men so wondering if there might be any noteworthy talent there?

As painful it is to say, but there's no real talant in our senior league to be found (in global scale, sure he is very decent for Lithuanian standards). If you are looking for a really promising Lithuanian try Emilijus Krakauskas. I believe he yesterday made his debut in NLA.

Noticed his name on Eliteprospects yesterday. Seems he held his own in the Swiss junior league, though I don't know how strong a league that is, and played for Biel in a relegation game. Though as an 18-year-old Lithuanian all of that could be considered pretty good I suppose.

This is exactly right. To give you a reference point, Aivaras Bendzius went over PPG in that same Latvian league, signed a contact with Ilves next season, went 0+6 in 21 games in Finnish junior league and came back home. Is a fringe player for Jesenice in the Austrian 2nd league now. I'd say Mark is quite a bit better prospect but you get my point, don't expect miracles. I'd be thrilled if he became a solid pro in any league of the world.

Indeed he did. Not really a super talent but got lucky with his development path (and ballsy parents) and now looks like we will have a NLA regular some day. Kid's goal scoring instincts are obvious but realistically I don't really think he can become a scorer in NLA. Maybe tho.. One can dream, he scored at every level thus far. It's a shame Lithuania got relegated to D2A of U18 WJC, he will dominate that level for sure, would had been nice to see him against some better competition.

Noticed this name on EP: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=347421

Plays for Green Bay U16 in the Midget league. 31 point in 38 games. 30th overall, likely NCAA route?

Committed to NCAA 2017-18, USHL next season
Holy crap, I'm more impressed by him putting more than PPG as a 15 year old against men. Probably not the best talent in Lithuania's men league, but still it's adults and that should mean something IMO.

The level there is absolutely terrible so that stat line itself doesn't really tell anything. I mean Energija plays there this year and their captain has 75 points in 19 games. Second in scoring is 41 year old guy who has never been a pro and played 1 game last season. I hope that paints the picture. Also it's by far not the first time teenager goes over PPG in that crap league (Danielius Nomanovas could be another example from the top of my head). Most actually decent prospects have already left Lithuania by the time they are 15..

So long story short, lets just hold our horses until we can see how he does in U18 championship. That stat line itself doesn't really mean anything. Really.
