Not sure if you saw this in a previous post. I could not find 1554 around here, but walked into a grocery store when I was out of town, 45 min. from the triangle and found it, so I bought all they had. My favorite beer and glad I have access to it, even if it's 40 min. away.
Nice. I’m glad to see that beer make it out of the state, it’s my favorite too.

So they don’t make it recently, especially since they finally sold out but they used to make a Xmas time seasonal called Frambozen raspberry brown ale. It tastes pretty similar as it sounds, and I loved that too. When I moved there they were my two favorite beers and I was at a function talking to a bartender about what I want, and he laughed at me for not knowing that mixing my favorite two beers made a perfect combo. It was kind of a thing there to do that. For a few years I’d buy like five cases of Frambozen straight from the brewery to make it last through the winter. Last time they made Frambozen they mixed in chocolate which made the Frambozen better but took away from the mix of the two. Anyways, If they ever do it again definitely try it.

New Belgium is technically in state for North Carolina. Granted I haven't gone looking for a New Belgium beer in years but I'm surprised most places in the Southeast don't have it.

And big bro Svech scores dang

Oh I know they put a brewery there. They’ve been a Colorado staple and the brewery that really put Fort Collins on the map as one of the top beer towns in America starting in the early 90’s. When I moved here in 97 people would argue about NB vs Odell’s (which is just as big here as NB is/was) at the bar with Fat Tire vs 90 Schilling being the bar set. People were calling NB sell outs THEN, because they were working harder to distribute and getting bigger. There was irony to me when they finally did sell out a few years ago. A lot of locals who had never done more than work at a brewery out of love who got rich, and good for them.

In the past people have said 1554 wasn’t at your brewery. Not everything made the trip your way. It’s been on tap locally in different towns if you know where to look since I moved here.
