1) Aho is the only one in the PPG neighborhood. Necas has 42 points in 47 Games. Svech has 37 points in 47 games. You might argue Necas is in the neighborhood, but Svech certainly isn't.
2) Aho missed 7 out of 47 games so his totals are affected by that (which I stated in my post).
3) While the PP is shit, Necas, Aho and Svech do have 14, 12, and 9 points on the PP. The PP can be bad and players still add to their points totals.
4) Necas (3), Svech (2), and Aho (1) have OT points, where Martinook doesn't play.
5) Aho also has 4 SH points.
6) Against an EN (5v6) and with a goalie pulled (6v5) is not counted in 5v5 stats.

From what I can tell, here's a breakout of their scoring:

Aho: 40GP / 41P: 21 5v5, 9 PP, 4 SH, 2 EN (5v6), 3 W/EN (6v5), 1 OT, 1 4v4
Svech: 47GP/ 37P: 21 5v5, 12 PP, 2 OT, 2 W/EN (6v5)
Necas: 47GP/ 42P: 22 5v5, 14 PP, 3 OT, 2 W/EN (6v5), 1 SH,
Martinook: 47GP/23P: 22 5v5, 0 PP, 0 OT, 1 EN (5v6)

Perhaps I should have said does not make sense because I never doubt your numbers. I also didn’t realize Svech tailed off as much as he has.

To your original point though, all those teams except St. Louis had multiple guys who were in the MVP conversation at one point in their career. That’s not the Canes and the only way to get that is picking a hall of fame type player (or 2) in the top 3 of the draft or get insanely lucky (Kucherov).

They have to win with insane depth because the top end guys aren’t superstars and it doesn’t really look like any of them ever will be.

Slight clarification. 1554 was available at the Asheville NC Brewery, but Asheville is ~4 hours from the Triangle. They used to sell 1554 regularly in the Triangle, and I could get it at any grocery store and various bars/pubs locally, but about 2 years ago, the distributors stopped carrying it for whatever reason. So it hasn't been available on tap or bottle in the Triangle. I was in Mebane, which is just 45 min. from the Triangle and found it in abundance there. So one county over, they seem to be carrying it, but for some reason in Wake/Durham county, they don't.

Lol I’ve never been able to get in at the grocery store here so in some ways you’ve been doing better than us at times. I’ve always had to get to the right liqour store to get it. The new version of NB doesn’t prioritize it here in CO, most liqour stores have a couple of their beers that are the ones NB is pushing. Usually Fat Tire and that silly skeleton ranger ipa thing they do now. There used to just be one Ranger, and there was no skeleton.

Anyways, glad we have something in common other than arguing about the Canes.
