I define “watching” as sitting down and watching. I’ve turned it on as background noise a few times over the past 2 months.

It’s not good. The old NXT kept my attention and I didn’t feel like I just watched a YTV Nickelodeon show.

It’s OK to say something is bad when it is.

The get to the ropes and kick out of everything indie style has devolved everything in ring to the point of absurd silliness, every spot and move is disposable, a guy gets kicked in the face 20 times in a row then kicks out at two. It's just a chore to watch a 20 minute match.

Even on a Raw or Dynamite match at 8:20 it's PPV style pace. No move stands out, 50/50 booking means every talent is the same from a kayfabe perspective. It's a wonder that people like Sasha Banks and Malaki Black are so dramatic about being put over and have a mental health breakdown whenever they do a job as if it means anything.

What is the point of a wrestler using a submission finisher hold when you can count on one had how many times on one hand anyone has tapped out in a year. The distraction roll up is 100X more effective. In the pursuit of having the most epic 'in ring performance' these spot fest of 'wrestlers' have ruin the industry. Now is a shrinking million of people that watch this because whats the point of any of it. MMA took all the fans what want to see something of consequence in ring but wrestling did itself no favors by going ultra fake, Darbin Allin going over Brian Cage clean style stupidity.

Good in ring performs now actually slow things down to an 80s-90s style in ring to do things that make pro wrestling stand out like a heel uses the ref for heat, plays to the crowd, baby face gets sympathy taking bumps for awhile then mounts a comeback. Not just kick for kick, flip for flip, reversal to reversal to reversal to reversal to reversal.....

Gargano NXT matches were kinda fun because it was part mocking how bad it's gotten with kick outs but when you see things like the Best Friends bringing a chainsaw to the ring in an Orange Cassidy Wardlow match to wink at an old meme of Dean Ambrose would have needded a chainsaw to beat Brock Lesnar at Mania? It's embarrassing to see how autistic contemporary wrestling has devolved into.

What is praised for being good in ring performances today? Stunts with no psychology, plot, story or sense and both the heel and face get cheered. It's really dumb and bad wrestling.

That was taken from my submission that nXt 2.0 wasn’t as bad as a lot of people think and that nXt black and gold wasn’t as great either. To clarify I am not putting 2.0 over black and gold. I’m not deifying Paul either though.

I really disliked him as a wrestler due to being over exposed and because honestly, The Attitude Era in ring work was mostly awful (him and Rock were prime culprits of the punchfests).

However I like what he's trying to do as a creative guy/talent evaluator, just needs more time to fix the product.

Here's some general issues:

The WWE product is bankrupt. There is no need for every wrestler to have a nickname and have the announcer mention it every thirty seconds.

Catchphrases are stupid and should be saved for rare occasions (imagine if Arn Anderson said "I'm Double A; The Enforcer" for every promo he did in the JCP Era).

The Worm as a move was always dumb.

The announcers freaking out when Bray Wyatt does that back yoga crawl thing is cooked.

Seth Rollins: good guy, but all his gimmicks and presentation are horrible. The "Freaking" thing is cringe.

Booker T in the WWE stunk. He was amazing in WCW but in WWE he was relegated to three catchphrases and repetition.

Bronson Reed is a mega heel waiting to happen. He's a star in the making.

Omos could have been Diesel to AJ Style's HBK. They should have let him be himself and talk and work on his in ring work slowly...kind of like they did with Nash in 1993-1995.

AJ Styles hasn't done anything exciting in years. Same presentation. Same moves. People say he worked a great match all the time but it's more because or reputation.

Finally, Sasha Banks/Mercedes Monet lives her gimmick and has a huge head. She was great in NXT but needs at least a year to be WWE-cleansed. Her intro the other day was like WWE PTSD.

The problem with that question is that unless you are Madusa, Trish, Lita Jackie or Ivory you aren't a legend.

There are 5 true female legends Mickie James will be 6 when she retires.

But right now there are 5, the rest, including Maria herself were treated like eye candy, they weren't taken seriously and therefore you can't bring back female legends because you barely have any.

And even Trish and Lita were treated like eye candy but they broke through that.

They still do it today they just aren't as blatant but you still have Liv Morgan who can't talk for shit and screws up in the ring but she has a spot because they see her as eye candy.

5 years. 5 f***ing years I tune out of WWE because the dude with the laziest match work I have ever seen has a rocket up his ass bigger than a Saturn V. The belts keep getting stapled to Bork f***ing Lazer and Dwayne and when I come back the dude with the laziest match work I've ever seen deletes the one moment of interest I managed to have

Not one elementary submission hold. No story telling, no real thoughtful use of the emotion in the building, just a f***in dude spamming spears, superman punches and kick outs.


Jesus Christ I promise I'm not knocking a single one of you for still following WWE. You are by far the truest and most loyal definition of fans I have ever seen because you have been forced to accept this mediocre degradation of the product from guys like Foley, Angle, Guerrero, Undertaker and Rock to a polished turd in Roman. And you just deal with it because you love the sport so much. You have accepted that this is what you get now and it does not dissuade the fact you're fans who follow what is going on every week no matter how bad it gets.


People my age who have been following for 20 years are singing in the rafters like it's Anfield and Old Trafford and their passion is wasted on a dude who is the acting equivalent of a dude who sits in a chair in every movie he makes and makes moaning noises and somehow he's hailed as the greatest actor of the age. You see 1 match with Roman you've seen them all. It took me about 3 weeks to figure it out and hate him as much as everyone else. We really are a cursed generation man
