I think the playoffs will be out of reach. With two top players and a puck moving defenseman gone for an extended period I believe they will fall too far behind in the strandings.

In addition, I am not convinced that Ullmark or Swayman will be able to handle the huge workload that they will have to try and get through during these times.

Bergeron and Krecji are not really spring chickens and the workload may just be too much. They are going to be expected to do a lot.

I hope for the best but we also have to be realistic.
The two netminders started almost every game last year - just a handful by Tuukka. How is that a huge workload? Not to mention obvious progression from Swayman in year 2.

Lindholm here for the entire year. Haula -> Krejci is a plus. Frederic -> Zacha should be. And Foligno -> Frederic should as well.

I don’t think expecting Bergeron not to be able to handle playing 1C is realistic - it’s worst case scenario. I’ll go ahead and bet on the guy.

You have your opinion and I have mine, but the two netminders will be seeing a lot more difficult shots and plenty more rubber with the depleted defense.

Bergeron will be handling the 1C but with the added workload just to compete may cause his body to wear down and be prone to injuries. Krejci is a plus but we are still missing a lot and Krejci is not going to make up the ground lost due to injuries.

The Defense we have is going to have a difficult time moving the puck.

Said it before, those two at 1C and 2C (whichever) are a plus, but the league keeps getting faster and younger and over a 100+ game span the Bruins need younger legs up the middle. Both 37 and 46 are great but at this stage the bottom six centers need to contribute more. So either Coyle has a career year to supplement those two, or someone like Beecher comes in and outplays the older slower yet reliable Nosek. We'll see.

I figured 12-8 at 20 would be very good - that’s probably what I pick open night for a life time supply of creamsicles

I’ll take 12-6 next 18
