Pastrnak remains on the team unsigned past the trade deadline ... HF posters have meltdown about poor asset management ... only to see Pastrnak sign an 9.8 x 8 yr extension the end of March.

Feels like we're already at this point, so IDK if I'd call it unexpected lol

Studnicka scores 20

Steen traded (maybe not unlikely)

Wissman becomes a fixture on 3rd pair

Carlo scores 12

Wagner, Foligno, Nosek all sent down, replaced by a 4th line of McLaughlin - Beecher - and ?

Carlo scoring 12 goals would be very unexpected since he has just 21 goals in his 403 game career

I am expecting a special season, one in which a couple of the youngsters come into their own and the Bs make a run at the Cup.

Unexpected for me would be the wheels falling off, the new coaching staff not doing a good job, and the return of Krejci/Bergy staying for another year being completely wasted.

Hampus Lindholm challenges McAvoy for 1A.
Mike Reilly waived
Zacha is what NJ told us he was and is one-and-done in Boston
Krejci scores +70 points.
Pasta wins the Rocket.
Frederic does a 180 and becomes a fan favorite.

I was going to say big Beech making the team but I feel that's a real possibility, so my unexpected prediction is Lohrei joins the bruins after his college season and scores the game winning goal in in the 7th game of the first round playoff series in OT as the Bruins advance to round 2.

On the negative side, Marchand coming back from double hip surgery I think will struggle to be the old Brad, at least this year. One hip is hard enough to come back from for an NHLer, and he's coming back off surgery on two. I sure hope he proves me wrong, but I have my doubts. I know his heart and his mind, as well as his will is saying Ill show U, but this maybe something that is totally out of his control.

@DKH...Welcome back !:thumbu:
I just flipped on NESN and it’s a classic from 2007-8 I think. It’s 7-0 Bruins over Carolina and me and my kid are sitting in the front row (I’m assuming TJ didn’t show up 😂) she is 12 or 13 and wearing her Krejci Providence jersey - you and Wendy are shown after the game as players go down runway (they kept showing Chara so he must have stood out)

The Bruins guys looked so young - no Marchand and didn’t see Bergeron but Thomas was in net, Seids, Boychuk, Stuart and Kampfer on defense/ Marc Savard was centering Horton / and Krejci was centering Seguin and Lucic. Wheeler, Ryder and Campbell were also playing

I’m assuming it was 13 or 14 years ago.

I can’t decide if it seems like yesterday or 100 years ago but it sure was special time in my life

I’ll fight you for it even though I have absolutely no memory of a kaspers Daugavins ever wearing a bruins jersey and missing a wide open net in the Finals

What makes it worse is that that scoring chance was set up by an absolutely beautiful pass by Seguin. If he just shoots it in the net, Seguin's a hero who helped win us a big game in the finals, and regardless of the outcome of the other 6 games we probably don't have as much impetus to trade him.

Seguin also set up the empty net that Chris Kelly blew in game 4. Theoretically we could've swept them if they just converted when he gave them opportunities (caveat: butterfly effect). But the narrative they used was that he couldn't give us half of Kane.

Early 2010-11 is the only time Stuart/Wheeler and Horton/Campbell could've been in the lineup together
