Don't forget that UNB already has former Bulldog captain Isaac Nurse. It will be interesting to see if any of the overage juniors from the Memorial cup end up at UNB?
One of the Bulldogs may be UNB bound?

Thanks, but I assume that Reynolds has at least one more (or two) years left in St John. Reynolds is an '03, Josh is an '02. I could see Josh coming to UNB, he is good on the face offs, fast and a playmaker.A USports coach is not allowed to talk to protentional recruits during playoffs. Since the CHL playoffs are completed as of last night, he and other coaches can now talk to any players they want now. So yes, Gardiner can NOW talk to Reynolds about coming to UNB, and Lawrence as well (who still has his overage year left to play).
And Landry played there as well.Don't forget that UNB already has former Bulldog captain Isaac Nurse.
Lawrence and Reynolds are both junior eligible. Thanks, but I assume that Reynolds has at least one more (or two) years left in St John. Reynolds is an '03, Josh is an '02. I could see Josh coming to UNB, he is good on the face offs, fast and a playmaker.
I heard that as well. I would love Staios (not sure he came off the ice last night)…but I don’t think it’s him.It will be interesting to see if any of the overage juniors from the Memorial cup end up at UNB?

Does that rule (ie/ not talking to potential recruits) apply for all CHL players? Or just the ones who are still playing?A USports coach is not allowed to talk to protentional recruits during playoffs. Just the ones still playing. Recruiters can talk to Junior players before playoffs (I think there is some sort of cutoff date, but not sure) and then once again as their teams are eliminated from the playoffs.Does that rule (ie/ not talking to potential recruits) apply for all CHL players? Or just the ones who are still playing?
Lawrence trade is official, he was traded twice SNB to Cape Breton, then the Eagles flipped him to Blainville Boisbriand. These are transactions listed on Q-league website. Reynolds is not yet listed on the Q list of transactions but is rumoured to go to Sherbrooke.I guess no surprise that Peter Reynolds and Josh Lawrence have been traded away (unofficially) by the SeaDogs. That's the hockey business - you win the Memorial Cup and then you trade away all of your soon to be overagers to start the rebuild/reload. Will be interesting to see how the two Fredericton kids work out with their new teams, and whether Reynolds will keep playing like he did under Gardiner. I would be really, really surprised if the two of them are not playing for the Reds after next season.
My guess - there is going to be a practice or two over the Christmas break for the FISU team prior to returning to school for a week and then jumping off to New York for Jan. 12th. UNB will likely have a player or two on that team and it would give everyone a rest.Looks UNB has filled up all six exhibition games. Unless the rules have changed?
No NCAA games or Pete Kelly Cup this year.
The All-star vs TC game is NOT for the benefit of the CIS guys.My guess - there is going to be a practice or two over the Christmas break for the FISU team prior to returning to school for a week and then jumping off to New York for Jan. 12th. UNB will likely have a player or two on that team and it would give everyone a rest.
Gardiner was supposed to be the coach for 2021 team - he may take it on again?
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a FISU vs AUS All-stars game over the break (on an off-day for Team Canada WJCs)
I'm interested to see if the WJC team play the USPORTS all-starts before Christmas in Halifax or Calgary. This would be a great warm-up for the FISU team and with all of the travel within North America and dates that line-up - it doesn't get any easier than this year to make something like work.
James Phelan is no longer at UNB. Signed with Laval (ECHL)Well the cupboard has definitely been restocked. From my count, and I might have missed some departures, we have the following:

OUT (1) - Rylan Parenteau
IN (1)- Samuel Richard
HERE (2) - Griffen Outhouse & Tanner Somers (#3)
Forwards (15)
OUT (2) - Samuel Dove-McFalls & Mark Rassell
HERE (9) - Macauley Carson, Thomas Casey, Brady Gilmour, Austen Keating
James McEwan, Isaac Nurse, James Phelan, Ryan Roth & Jason Willms
IN (6) - Camaryn Baber, Ben Corbeil, Cole MacKay, Cody Morgan, Mike Petizian & Simon Pinard
Defenseman (9)
OUT (2) - Chris Becker & Joe Gatenby
HERE (7) - Noah Carroll, Benjamin Gagne, Connor Hall, Kade Landry, Ross MacDougall, Adam McCormick & Chris McQuaid
IN (2) - Colton Kammerer & Justin Nolet
Total = 24
The 'game day' roster is 20 (18 skaters and 2 goalies).
A. Seven (7) defenseman (two sit) and 11 forwards (four sit), or
B. Six (6) defenseman (three sit) and 12 forwards (three sit)
James McEwan just signed in the ECHL (Kansas City), so you can scratch him off as well.Well the cupboard has definitely been restocked. From my count, and I might have missed some departures, we have the following:

James and James were both graduates as well and finished up with studies. Looks like an accurate list to me. Hope all make it here and there are no last minute changes with pro contracts. Kammerer is a great win for us at the last of the announcements. C level guy and a shut down D. We have had a great recruiting season on paper. Can't wait to get the season going!James McEwan just signed in the ECHL (Kansas City), so you can scratch him off as well.
All of their overagers went pro - Francis/D’aoust/SevignyWere there any SJ Sea Dogs recruited? I seem to recall during and after the Memorial Cup that half the roster was going to UNB.
You can scratch Benjamin Gagne off this list now. Just signed with Fort Wayne (ECHL).Well the cupboard has definitely been restocked. From my count, and I might have missed some departures, we have the following:

He probably didn't want to be one of nine defensemen. You can scratch Benjamin Gagne off this list now. Just signed with Fort Wayne (ECHL).
There definitely wasn't a clear path to playing time for Ben. I liked him when we has in there. A little more grit and willing to throw his body out there to bring some energy. Agreed though, hard to be a black ace when you want the education yes but you also want to grow your game to pursue pro hockey when done.He probably didn't want to be one of nine defensemen.
I've always felt that players aren't on the team until they play a game. So many times over the years I've seen recruits hyped and they've gone Minor Pro or worse, gone to another AUS team.
