Remember that this wasn't some high speed on ice collision or season long wear and tear that has brought this on.

Yeah it’ll be one York, U of T or TMU’s goalies depending on who’s here or they will have to sign one of the Marlies goalies to an ELC
They can’t sign a goalie. Already at the 50 contract limit.

Honestly when I watched the Murray's interviews it seemed like something wasn't right. Idk if he's battling depression which is a serious topic or what but it just seemed like he had no intention of wanting to even be there. Obviously I have no way to know though and I'm not claiming anything and I hope I'm wrong. Just when I see a guy fall off a cliff professionally usually at times it can be an indication he's not right between the ears.
I remember hearing he hasn't been the same since his dad passed away , i don't know if that's true or not , it's just something i heard .

Too early to tell. But yeah. Kallgren apparently is also out.

David Ayres' eras perked up.

Also, f*** Curtis Douglas for standing around like a goof after watching his goalie get run. 6'9? I didn't know they stacked shit that high.

Being the type of player Curtis Douglas is supposed to be, most NHL organizations would launch the player into the sun after he didn't react instinctively to that situation like he's expected to react. I said a similar thing about Kerfoot from Game 6 last season. Most orgs would have had it with a player making two bonehead mistakes that demonstrably lost the game (and series) for the team.

I think his last groin injury was April 2021. Lots of discussion in the two big Sens Matt Murray threads. TBH when they got him I was more worried about the concussion history from Pittsburgh and that was a long time ago.

I don't want to assume the sky is falling until we know more. Groin injuries for goalies are really bad but not every one is a rupture. Its not like he was carried off the ice. Good luck Matt

Or maybe Dylan Ferguson? Which is an emergency of sorts, I suppose.
ATO type of contract requires the player to be an amateur (i.e. never played professionally anywhere). I think that's why they usually go to University goalies because they're the most mature amateurs with no pro experience.
