Dariush letting Tony escape from that heel hook reminds me of how Khabib said he switched from the armbar to the triangle against Gaethje because he was worried Gaethje would let his arm snap instead of tapping. Tony is definitely that insane and I think Dariush really didn't want to completely wreck his leg for the rest of his life.
