I liked Gauthier. I thought he would be the guy to stay, and the club would just build around him on the 4th line, but...Not the case. If he ever had a mean streak, he would be the bottom 6 guy teams would have lined up for. With that said, I like Motte better there. Excellent PK guy.

I think this is a Gallant trade. A guy he know's what he is getting from ini terms of energy and pk. He rolled him out for decent minutes in the playoffs. I am sure he told Drury Gauthier/VK are not gonna cut it for the 4th line.

Goat isn’t better than Motte. And Tank is a excellent Playoff performer. The trades are very good value.

Not saying you're wrong but that wasn't gonna happen here with this coach. And this is our coach for this year and probably next. He didn't even play Gauthier one min last playoffs. Even Hunt got 3 games over him.
