Awkward plane ride for Gaut. “So Fellas, what’s going on”
Awkward plane ride for Gaut. “So Fellas, what’s going on”
We know he's not the "savior" but Actually played 15 games in the playoffs against some tough competition. Averaged about 12-13 min a game against those opponents? I think that is a decent sample size vs Gauthier who didn't play a single game.Ok the savior has arrived. Been hearing all war how good Motte is based on a few games last year
Not following? Did they swing by Ottawa, handed Gauthier a chute and push him out the door at 38,000 feet? This trade dropped while the Rangers were in flight on the way back from Calgary... coincidence?

The Rangers also had more depth at the time as well. Rangers have no depth at the moment. Lesuckshin is in the top 12 still, we have Sucksoff sitting down because he is usuelss and will break a nail if he plays. So where is our extra Depth, also we still lack the toughness we had last year. We had a few guys to fill in last year when injuries albeit it they were Hunt, Rooney, still better than Lesuckshin and sucksoff. 2 injuries away from Carpenter being here. This is not a tough team. They are virtually identical when looking at caliber of player and prices paid...

All we need to do is trade for a Vatrano and it's 2022 V2.
Gauthier wasn’t the main reason forth line was ineffective but he’s not blame free on many occasions either. I’m sure Gallant would prefer keeping that line in the rotation too but it has to show show something during the game first.Yeah, especially with how frequently Gallant has been cutting down the fourth line's minutes in recent games - not that I think that's necessarily a bad thing anyways. I'd have to double check how teams like CAR/COL/TB rolled their fourth line in the playoffs, but riding the top-9 that heavily through March/April seems like an easy way to burn them out.
You only think about “good” Gauthier. There was still a “disappearing” Gauthier on far too many occasions. Not a complain per se but Motte is consistently being a lot more than that Gauthier.
This is before the concern about ability to keep him after the season.

Funny, because I remember you complaining a lot about what they gave up. It seems to me you don't like any moves the give up draft picks or prospects.
It's easy when nobody wants him...Krav survives once again
If you think he’s better than Motte or that he’s better than a forth liner who didn’t get a chance here it’s your opinion but I think most would disagree. It would be far from some outrageous takes we’ve seen here.he gets like 5 minutes a game and he's been stapled to one of the most useless players in NHL history for the past month
I’d like thatMaybe we’ll sign Motte to a Vesey/Harpur type extension of 2 years near the minimum. Struggled this year in Ottawa and may want a bit of long term security. Would provide us a bit of depth at no risk
Yup, still leaves Drury hands untied to make another deal.Motte is much better suited for what the Rangers need. Gauthier certainly showed flashes and perhaps he will get a larger opportunity in Ottawa. Like the cap room this leaves Drury to address the hole in the middle and like the early timing of the move. Plenty of time for this group to gel.
Had a hot start then idk what happenedMotte's had a really rough year so far, gonna need him to be a lot better than he was with Ottawa.
