Doesn't battle like the Tank did, I think that's the biggest difference

Next mainstay Bruins goalie we have I hope has more of that bullish battle factor about them

Rask can start to redeem himself tomorrow night though

Nope. Faster, not further. May seem like nit-picking but it's not. The placement actually turned out to be perfect. It was the speed that was the issue.
Well you said it, I didn’t, nit picking. Either way you slice it he made a bad feed, Rask made a mistake counsler. Now if you want to keep arguing little details on who is right and wrong on how he messed up, go right ahead. I would rather sort my sock drawer and look forward to tomorrow night.

Haha, no idea if you're joking or not, but just to be clear where I stand: Rask ****ed up. He should have moved the puck to Chara towards the corner. He put it in the worst spot possible, and while Charlie was weak on his stick the puck never should have been directed at him at all. Rask was lazy and careless with the puck, and it led to arguably the most important goal of the game.
I made a mistake. Get it now.

I agree it was not an ideal play on Rasks part. Just as bad on CM73 part though. Just a massive breakdown on multiple parts at a HORRIBLE time.

Bottom line for me though was the forwards not cashing in on multiple opportunities. We made two glaring mistakes in D zone and Toronto capitalized on both.

Toronto made many much more glaring D zone screw ups. Some really egregious. We capitalized on none of them.

Team loss in a game that was easily winnable. Team fail and inexcusable.

Now we need to see if they can bring it on Wed. All of momentum is with Toronto. Going to take a stellar effort. No slow start (not case last night) BS, no puck luck BS, no BS period.

Make or break time.

No one expected this season to be as good as this. That said if we blow a 3-1 lead then that’s unacceptable and will make most of positives this season moot.

Tuukka has been good to very good but rarely great. That is one of the biggest problems. I I have very little confidence that he is ever going to make the big game saving save

Are you serious? How bout the diving pokecheck on Jonsson, the breakaway glove save on Kapanen, and the cross crease blocker save in the 3rd period of last game? If Bruins came back any one of those was the game saver.

Do or die for Tuuka tomorrow. Unless he wants to be part of history (not the good kind)

Heard on the radio if he loses tomorrow he would be the 1st goalie to lose 3-2, 3-1, 3-0 playoff leads

I have no problems with Tuukka’s play this entire series. He’s made the saves he’s needed to make, plus a few more he probably shouldn’t have. If he plays the same in Game 7, he’s square with me.

Tuuka has been out played in the latter half of the series period and the results show. Remember Tuuka is one of the five top paid keepers in the league and should be out playing his opponents.

Game 5 is on him, sure. He sucked. But we had ABSOLUTELY no business winning game 4, we only did because of Tuukka. If you think we lost game 6 because of him, I really don't know what to say. With the performance he put up, it's a f***ing disgrace we didn't win that game.

Toronto in the regular season scored 3.3 goals per game. Against Tuukka this series, they are scoring 2.5 per game.

Bruins in the regular season scored 3.26 goals per game. This series, they haven't scored over 3 since game two.

Who is and isn't doing their job again?

He makes 1-2 more saves that he shouldn't have, and he'll be hailed as a hero.

At this point, we need a hero. Because someone else is being a more of a hero on the other end of the rink. That's not downplaying what Rask has done, but as possibly the single most important role on the team, if both goalies are playing great, one needs to do that much more to stay ahead.

That's NOT saying the rest of the team shouldn't do their part. But someone needs to be a hero.

Otherwise, seeya next season.

yup. my top 3 concerns all play on the same line.

The "best line in hockey" has 0 points and a -16 in the 3 losses. This team's problems dont reside between the pipes

1- discipline and positional awareness to eliminate or limit the Leafs stretch pass

2- Horrific dump in`s or forechecks, literally handing the puck to the Leafs for easy outs which leads to my first point

3- Too much backing in by the D, giving the Leafs the blue line

4- Nowhere near enough traffic in front other than the 4th line

5- You mentioned it, if the big line doesn`t contribute tonight, FORE

This game will be his defining moment. He has an 8 team list he can be traded to, and unless he puts 8 teams on it that already have a better goalie I think there could be chance they try to move him if he loses.

Unless they are getting a capable starter back in return, or have another deal cooked up to bring in a starter, I don't see how they can move him, regardless of what happens tonight.

The list of UFA goaltenders is a dogs breakfast of mediocrity. Basically Back-Up City.

I like Khudobin but he ain't no starter. And there is nothing in the system even remotely close to ready.

For those talking about Thomas vs Rask in games where the B's could win/clinch or lose and go home.. (think up 3-0, 3-1, 3-2, or down 3-0, 3-1, 3-2 or tied 3-3)

By my count, Thomas was 11-5 and Rask is 6-14. In those games here are some goals allow by each goalie and goals for by the team:

thinking like for Schnieder plus to the Devils, or teams that want to shake it up like Wild for Dubnyk, Ducks w Gibson, Oilers w Talbot...

Dunno, teams may be equally as frustrated as Sweeney will be if he lays an egg.

I could see that. That would be the type of move worth exploring if things go south.

Except Talbot. He was absolutely brutal this year, some of that was the team in front of him, but a lot of it was him. He got yanked more times than I could count. I have him in a 14-team keeper league and he single-handedly submarined any chance I had of winning it. If Sweeney moved Rask for a package that included Talbot he should be fired.
