He'll only ever remember Hammer as a meme in parachute pants. Besides his clear anti Blue Jays bias, one huge problem with Law is his refusal to admit he made a mistake. Instead, Law doubles down.

I think the biggest problem is the unfounded arrogance with which he makes proclamations about players. Like the not worth a roster spot thing. His contemporaries will say things like "I don't think he makes it," "don't like him," or "won't make enough contact to be a regular," aka things that clearly imply it's their evaluation that's opinion-based. Which is exactly what people are looking for and exactly what they're qualified to provide. They'll probably be right more often than not. And definitely know more than most fans. But when Law makes a statement like he's Nostradamus, it invites the "told ya so" he gets after the fact, and it alienates his reader base who feel shit on for asking a question.

Biggio is going to be a 2 fWAR player in 89 games after tonight.

It’s hard not to be excited about that considering it’s his rookie year.

As I said before, a 2 WAR floor isn’t out of the question with that walk rate. Hitting and power is coming and once that defense stabilizes then you are looking at one of th best 2B in the game.
