We have deer galore, squirrels, skunks
.... there's also a woodpecker, hawks, and my neighbor said an owl shows up sometimes too, haven't seen him yet.
I am not a veteran. But I have military in my family, going back to World War II. Navy, Marines, Army. A friend and some I work with have served.
I can only imagine what it means to be a veteran.

Many consider John Bonham the greatest rock drummer ever. Perhaps justly.
No expert (I was a lead vocalist for many years and went to Berklee in the early '90s; fine with "Ear Training," hopeless with sight reading & "Harmony" 1-4).
However, I have to side with Keefe in his assessment of bombastic Bonzo's style.
Relative to rock 'n roll & pop (Big Band & Jazz are another kettle of fish), my two favorite drummers could not be more different, each ensconced at opposite ends of the spectrum.
The Who's Keith Moon, my all time favorite, at one extreme.
Neil Peart of Rush at the other.
Of course, there are a million great skin masters in between, including Ringo (yes), Cream's Ginger Baker, John Densmore of the Doors, long time Bowie percussionist Dennis Davis, the Rolling Stones' Charlie Watts, and Stewart Copeland of The Police.
Personal favorites.
And that's just off the top of my head.
If I could learn one musical instrument, it would be the drums,
*Rolling Stone magazine's "Greatest This, Greatest That" rankings are Old White Guy purblind, lamely "controversial," and dubious at best.

Elwood Edwards died Tuesday at the age of 74 following a long illness. He worked at 3News for many years as graphics guru, camera operator, and general jack-of-all-trades, yet it was a somewhat random opportunity in 1989 that earned him international fame.
That year, Elwood received $200 from the then-unknown America Online, merely because his wife worked at a predecessor company. He was asked to simply record four voiceover lines:

Not a Rush fan, but I have to agree on Peart, he was that talented. As for Moonie, I had it described to me as thus: "Keith Moon is the only drummer in the world who sounds like he chucked his drum set down 4 flights of stairs, and still arrived at the bottom exactly on time".
Wise person who said that.
As for Ringo, I watched this with my own eyes. A buddy of mine was arguing about the best drummer in rock, and the other drummer there was bashing on Ringo. So he told the other guy to get behind the kit and play various Bonham highlights. The guy had been playing for years, so he nailed every one of them. Then my friend picked out a simple Ringo fill (the exact one is lost to time and my fading memory). The Ringo basher could not play it, no matter how many times he tried. That's the genius of Ringo, he made it look easy when it wasn't.

Literally just had this Ringo conversation on Saturday. Incredibly underrated, no one like him, perfect drummer for the greatest band ever for reasons few appreciate.

Just be aware that with deer come deer ticks. If you're going to spend a lot of time outdoors be sure to check yourself when you're back in the house. You do not want to get Lyme Disease.

They're so cute though, why do they have to be such a nuisance lol
Parking wars have begun at the new house. The street is very narrow, worse than most one way roads in the city, yet it allows two way traffic. Our neighbors across the street suddenly have 3-5 box trucks/vans parking on the street. Some are faced the wrong way. Some block their own driveway (which is rarely used). Sometimes they will use the driveway and hang over the pedestrian sidewalk and into the road.
Why do I care? Someone is gonna get side swiped, soon. A bumper is gonna get torn off. Doors are gonna be pushed in. There just isn't room in the road to get in\out of the driveway. It becomes a huge hassle.
Then to the side of us, there's now a car butted RIIIIGHT up against the edge of our driveway. It makes it literally impossible to enter/exit the driveway to that side when the trucks and the car are in this configuration. Today I noticed there is a fire hydrant up ahead of this car, which might explain why he/she pulls back to the edge of our driveway.
I looked up city parking violations:
Wrong way parking. Check.
Blocking sidewalks. Check.
Within 5 feet of a driveway. Check, and check.
Within 10 feet of a fire hydrant. Borderline

I've come to the realization that the driving backbeat Ringo provides on the early Beatles albums is what elevates them from standard fare 1963 pop.
People think he's sloppy but really he's just unorthodox because he's playing a right handed kit left handed. Like you say, other technical drummers are nonplussed trying to copy it. And that famous Lennon quote about him not being the best drummer in the Beatles says more about how Paul is a musical prodigy on all instruments than it does about Ringo. Plus it came from the time of John's life when he was bitter and hated everything and shouldn't be given too much stock.

I've always wondered why "sloppy" is such an insult to musicians. Moon was sloppy. Jimmy Page is sloppy. Punk Rock is sloppy. Sloppy can be an art in itself. Besides, who cares as long as it sounds good?
Totally random because I just had my eyebrows waxed but I wish they sold brow serum like they did lash serum. 25 years later and I’m still paying price for the pencil eyebrow trend.

My internet/wifi hasn't worked since I moved in last week. Haven't had time to mess with it but got tired of not being able to stream on the tvs so tonight I did a chat with a "live agent" with Xfinity for almost two hours.... and it still didn't work and now they have to send a tech to the house Monday afternoon. 
They claim they won't charge me for the time I've been without service.... we shall see....

Tomorrow, I’ll be running the Manchester City Marathon in memory of Jared.
I did some research this morning and read that Jared was from Milford. He loved to read and he loved smiling and making people laugh. Jared was an athlete and he was involved with his church as a youth group leader.
He graduated from Milford High School and joined the United States Army.
Jared died in 2012.
