Lots of room on the right side in Detroit. You guys want Cleary? Good locker room guy ya know. Toss in a signed Lidstrom jersey and a couple Little Caeser's gift cards.

All seriousness aside I don't believe the Wings have the pieces necessary :(

Jus keep in mind, our biggest need is D, LHD especially.

A forward could work, but we alrady will have the likes of Petan, Dano, Connor, Armia, Lemieux etc fighting for one or two spots on the team

Well you know the Leafs are interested...

At least it's something to legitimately talk about now.

The Rangers could do Brady Skjei with an add. They're very high on him, but incredibly deep on the left (they are looking into playing Skjei on the right side because of the depth at LD). Phenomenal skater. Very good defense. Offensive potential. Former first round pick.

Interesting basis depending on what other piece(s) the Rangers could throw in.

Tyler Myers would be the one to go, if he's ready to pass a physical and teams are willing to task the risk on him. He had knee and hip surgery over the summer and we don't know how he's going to come out of it. I don't want to lose Trouba, but if we do we better get something of similar value to boost our defensive core. Enstrom's aging, probably best he plays second pairing to take some load off of him. Byfuglien and Myers can hold down the right side with Postma playing 3rd pairing minutes. On the left we then have Morrissey, Chiarot, and Mark Stuart... yuck. Chiarot can be a serviceable on the bottom pairing, Morrissey hopefully develops into a top pairing LHD before Enstrom regresses.

Overall I'm not happy one bit the way this was handled if this was the only thing keeping him from signing with us.

It's not about just playing the right side. If that's what this was about, Winnipeg accommodates him, plain and simple.

You don't lose a player of Troubas caliber over something so trivial.

Jets fans denied the crap out of it but his contract demands were a trade request.

I think so. But I'll push my luck here

Bishop
Sustr
2nd round pick

Trouba
Connor
1st round pick

I really don't think I'm being unfair here

Yeesh, 1st and Connor for 1 year of Bishop potentially :/

Edmonton should get into this conversation.

Just curious, how did Trouba play during the world cup? I was out of town and didn't get a chance to watch anything other than highlights and the few reviews of his play I've read have been very unflattering.

A lot of teams could use him . Rangers one of them but for what I don't know . Likely not a fit
