Am I crazy or does something around Trouba for Nurse make too much sense to happen? Maybe not directly 1 for 1, and one side adds something else. WPG has Myers and Byfuglien at RD already. EDM has Klefbom and Sekera at LD but only Larsson at RD.

I am guessing the Jets would have to take back Mark Fayne in order to make it closer to cap in/out since Nurse has two years of his ELC left and Trouba would probably require 6M to extend.

Oilers add a LOT if the Jets consider that at all... ELC or not Nurse isn't close to the player Trouba is at this time. Klefbom is probably more the ask here

This has eastern conference written all over it. Doubt Jets would trade within the division without asking for a overpayment. I can see Tampa/NYR/NJD maybe?

Edit: words

Trouba is significantly more valuable than Nurse.

Sorry Jets fans, Hamomic is going nowhere now. Should have made that trade early last season. Good luck getting proper value with little leverage. Would just let him sit and deal with it.

yeah, with him going public like this it puts Winnipeg in a difficult position. Tough to get great value when everyone knows the player wants to leave, that's why Drouin wasn't traded. Although he requested because of playing time, while Trouba is kinda doing the same thing, it's also about playing his preferred side which is tougher to fix

Unfortunately I think this will be an ongoing situation for Winnipeg and its players. Luckily they have lots of young talent and draft very well.

If Winnipeg consistently has great players to the point where great young players are demanding trades since they can't crack in I am ok with that.

Hopefully it's a young (under 23) LHD coming back somewhere in the cards. Not another forward plz

The Rangers could do Brady Skjei with an add. They're very high on him, but incredibly deep on the left (they are looking into playing Skjei on the right side because of the depth at LD). Phenomenal skater. Very good defense. Offensive potential. Former first round pick.
