Why can't Myers play LD? Or Big Buff?

In general it seems like RHD never play anything but the right side because most teams have more LHD than RHD. So to ask any RHD, but especially veterans who have played the right side their whole life to play the left side, is unlikely to go done well.

Trouba to the oilers just makes so much sense..

RNH and a high pick would get it done no?

Stone, Reider and a 1st is a good deal imo. Winnipeg will be looking to make the playoffs this season, they don't need prospects, stone and Reider give them NHL players who will actively contribute to the team right away. The 1st is just a sweetener that Winnipeg can use to maneuver for a better player if they are in the hunt come deadline time. If not then they stash the pick and add to their already impressive prospect pool.

AZ will not trade Strome, Domi, Duclair, or Dvorak. Do I know this for sure? No, but i'd be willing to bet on it.

A team I can see going for him is Anaheim. Fowler+Manson?

Jets get a top 4 LHD and a rising RHD to fill Trouba's spot.

Anaheim adds size and physicality to it's right side.

Lindholm-Trouba
Theodore-Vatanen
Depres-Bieksa

Arizona has a ton of prospects but does Winnipeg want prospects, they have many of their own.

Toronto fans want Trouba - the value of young dmen with top pairing potential we know is high. Marner or Nylander straight up for Trouba I doubt gets it done, Winnipeg will want a dman back.

Marner or Nylander
Gardiner

Trouba
Roslovic or Lemieux

I would hate the Leafs getting Lemieux as a Sabres fan considering I hated trading him, kid is going to be a major piece of ***** to play against just like the old man.

Leafs don't trade Marner or Nylander for that package alone let alone adding ****ing Gardiner

We could do Skjei and Miller for Trouba and one of the forwards mentioned earlier (the guys fighting for a spot--preferably a guy with boom or bust potential).

I think this is awful. Skjei could be better than trouba and then throwing in Miller too. Terrible. I dont think the rangers have the pieces the Jets want

Please no. That's a massive overpayment. RNH alone to me is an overpayment, plus the Jets would want a Dman back.

After the hall/larrson debacle, I think RNH for trouba is more than fair.

Trouba is a young top 4 d-man.

Chevy has known for several months and still hasn't gotten anything done? Hopefully his inability to make a move doesn't backfire. Can't see Troubas value getting any better.

I'll flip that around and say that if you think the Oilers would "add significantly" to Nurse, it sounds like you have no idea about his value.

They wouldn't give up Nurse for Hamilton and he had more value at the time of his trade than Trouba does right now. They are certainly not adding "significantly".

Of course they are. Nurse's value isn't comparable to Trouba's. Nurse is one year younger than Trouba and has done nothing to show his value should be close to Trouba's.

It was a bad decision not to give up Nurse for Hamilton then and it would be an even worse decision not to give up Nurse++ for Trouba. Trouba is an established top pairing two-way RHD. He's better than Rielly, Larsson, Ristolainen, etc. Leafs fans and Oilers fans and everyone else likes to **** on this guy because Jets fans can be kinda annoying sometimes, but Trouba is the real deal and he's become ridiculously underrated on HF.

How is he better than any of those defensemen listed? The guy is overrated. He's a good top 4 defenseman. He has not 'established' himself as a top pairing defenseman.

He is pretty great defenseively with from what I've seen and what many have said, a limited offensive game that hasn't shown signs of breaking out.

His return would be substantial because of age and potential, not because he's a top pair player.

Just like Yzerman couldn't get Drouin done?

Chevy holds the cards. He's very comfortable waiting for someone to blink.

If nothing is done and the Jets are in the bottom 15 come mid-November, things might start shifting.

Lots of teams will be interested if he does get traded. If the Oilers want him they will have to pay a premium. I'd imagine that the Jets will want to move him to the East.

What's the hurry? Chevy and the Jets really don't care if Trouba sits all season. They won't trade him until they get what they consider is fair value. He can go play in the KHL for all I care. Lol! Have fun sitting Jerkob!
