MDZ = top 4
Sanheim = prospect
Morin = worse prospect
Hagg = doesn't belong in the discussion
MacDonald = not coming to Winnipeg unless paired with Provorov and then some

I mean, maybe I do Trouba for Sanheim and Provorov. If you want an add, Stuart comes with him. Works both ways, doesn't it.

How about you keep trouba. As a flyers fan, most wouldn't not do trouba for sanheim. We don't need a rhd.

Ghost is better on the right side, gudas is good rhd, and myers, a rhd, is probably on the team next year.

You can keep trouba.

I conider one top four dman enough. If you want someone other than mdz you eat MacDonald. Maybe i do mdz and hagg.

MDZ is a UFA next summer. He's just a stopgap in that deal until Sanheim is ready. Without both, it makes no sense for the Jets.

To Oilers

Jacob Trouba

To Jets

RNH

Why Edmonton does this?

They add an dman that would finally give this team the defense to make the playoffs.

Why Winnipeg does this?

I know Jets fans would rather keep Jacob Trouba, but he doesn't want to be there, but adding RNH would give this team great depth down the middle. I could see The Jets becoming the stars of this year and be the best offensive team of the league with this trade.

thoughts?

do you this that another piece needs to be added here or is this good enough? Maybe Nurse can be added and Jets throw a top 6 winger in the deal.

Since when is RNH a LHD that Cheveldayoff is seeking, My Sister and her Children live near the Trouba's in Rochester Hill's, Michigan and he wants no part of Winnipeg and definitely doesn't want to play that far west but close to home near Detroit. So i doubt that it happens.

Then i doubt that Boston would've what it would take to land Trouba, Other then Krug i don't see any D that Cheveldayoff would be interested in coming back from Boston.

Much like Detroit, a third team would have to be involved...or WPG would have to back off its call for a D coming back. The idea of them protecting 7+3 instead of 4+4 in the expansion draft could have some value to them with Morrissey looking good.

Exactly without Krug being involved more then likely Boston would need a 3rd team involved maybe like Philly or Carolina. Actually it kind of sounds like Cheveldayoff isn't interested in a deal around Krug and Trouba any ways. While Krug is a good offensive D man he's small and it sounds like Chevy would much rather have a big D man similar to Trouba.

They do not have to back off. They have made it known that Trouba is a big part of the team and they want him back. He will eventually sign or sit. There is no point giving him up for anything less since we already do not have his services. I look at it like some other posters, Trouba is the equivalent of being injured. It is what it is.

Allow me to be in the minority here. But I'd be fine bringing in a new center man for Trouba if he's good enough.

If Oilers retained 1/3 on RNH I'd think long and hard. That might be a no go however.

Am I the only one who gets the impression that Trouba doesn't want to play in Canada? Obviously nothing specific like that has been said, but it doesn't seem like any of the Canadian teams are really rumored to be strong suitors for him.

Alot of us feel that way.

At this point rnh would help this team alot more then a sitting out Trouba. In this case I wonder what Bryan little would fetch for a defenseman?

Edmonton can't afford to move RNH now. He's an important part of the PP and the PK, gonna be logging some major minutes.

Not suggesting they make any trades; but what IS Winnipeg's roster situation following this season (as is)?

How many D should be protected 3 vs 4?

Forwards? 7 vs. 4?

If Jets can get what they want, which everyone is saying LHD a top4.
Then grab it. But it's looking more and more hard for that to happened.

RNH bolsters the Jets top 9to the next level.
They can move Perrault back again to LW. He wants to play C. But he can play top LW for the next 2 years with

Perrault Schiefele Wheeler
Connor Little Stafford. And Laine RNH Ehlers

That is crazy top 9
jets still have many small pieces that they can swing to try to get similar unproven Dman with potential.Jets top 4 is set for 1-2 more years( if Morrissey is up to it), barring injuries. Plus they have 2 young goalies :)

In short: Trouba for similar left D, looks to be close to impossible due to options.
A Trouba trade for a high end forward then another trade to bolster the D, might be the next best way.
