How does trading Carlo help? We don't have any other D capable of playing in the top4. I think that's just robbing Peter to pay Paul. Plus, signing a top4 RHD next summer is going to cost considerably more than Carlo makes, so you're left with no money to upgrade the forwards.
It doesn’t. There is practically pitch forks in bruins fans hands. There is a lot of irrational hate for the defence even though the power play is invisible, they can’t stay out of the box and they struggle to score goals.

Interesting combo.

The two worst +/- players on the team (by far) with the best (by far).

Can Koepke bring those guys up?
I haven’t been watching hockey the last 7 years so hopefully Koepke can save these two other guys

All seriousness I’ve probably seen Coyle live 250+ times and Frederic 150 at ice level and I’m kinda sorta liking both their games in the big picture

Coyle especially has been very good recently - the Seattle game he was fantastic

I could give a flying f*** about plus minus if I’m actually at the games

I admit I watched 0.0 of Toronto and Nashville but I’ve been to 7 home games

Coyle is an absolute beast of a third line center he’s still got it

Frederic has had his moments

Monty can’t F’n settle on anything

He’s so petrified he’s getting fired he is mixing and matching etc

It’s frustrating as hell

I agree. I've argued for Zacha at center several times this year, but that line is going to need more than Tyler Johnson to beat other team's first lines.

Pair 'em up...

Zacha-Pasta
Marchand-Lindholm
Coyle-Poitras

I had Frederic on the third pair at the start of the season but after doing the cap math for next year I think they should move him.
I certainly can and would buy this

I like Freddy and he’s got to be better but let’s get rid of him because I don’t like him stuff is ridiculous

I would like to see

Frederic- Coyle - Kopeke

All good size good skating

Coyle showing strong game back where he belongs

Get him back where he’s an elite third liner

With Kastelic & Beecher on 4th line you got a big strong bottom 6

Top 2 lines built around

Zacha - Pastrnak
Marchand- E Lindholm

We have 15 games and it’s getting clearer this is it

Marchand still quick as a cat

His talent is still high end his decision making needed to be better less high risk stop forcing plays
I agree about trying Fred with Coyle and Kopeke. Monty juggles lines constantly but hasn’t tried this.

Cassidy didn’t use him properly and now Montgomery too? At some point fingers need to point at Freddy himself. I don’t want to trade him, but I want to see more physicality and more overall effort.

Do you care about actual goals?

Because the absolute beast Coyle put up his first assist of the season in Game 15. Was also his first even strength point of the season. And he's been playing a regular shift every night.

I expect he will get better. Frederic as well. But I've been expecting it for about 10 games now. I'd like to see something more than just looking better lately.

He's improved every season - off to a tough start this year. You can stuff that effort and finger pointing talk in a pipe and smoke it

I looked into this the other day. Dakota Joshua is the favorable comp but Mason Marchment is probably what Frederic's agent is going to be pushing.

Marchment signed a 4 year deal at $4.5 per season and that was in 2022.
Marchment was also coming off a 47 point season. If Freddy hit the open market this past offseason, he'd be getting 4 million + no doubt

Teams would also be thinking, well he's improved every year since he entered the league so there could still be some more potential

But after the start he's having this year...I think it changes considerably for him. He's still getting the same deployment and playing with similar players as last year. He isn't coming off any injury. He's actually getting a minute and a half of PP2 time...just about to pass what he got last year.

At the same time his shooting percentage is at 4.8%. He's usually at 14%. Like what I said, good time to try getting him on a nice deal if he'll sign it. I think he eventually comes back around

I just watch mostly and I think Coyle still on top of his game

I’m believing he wants that second line C like last year ‘but’ it looks like - and I agree with it he should be the third line anchor and pseudo captain of the bottom 6

His play has spiked which means he’s accepting

To moi

I want my teams personality on that bottom 6

Big all things equal, responsible, tough, skill

Coyle epitomizes it

I’m Monty I hope he explained it to him

As for Freddie I like him - a lot. He’s been trick or treat, more ‘I gotta a rock’ than a pop corn ball (btw DB you ever get a pop corn ball? I didn’t but did get candy apples that were excellent but a bitch sent a had braces)

Freddy got to perform a bit better - he’s trying I watch him just not getting any breaks - needs to have a better vibe,

I put him with 13 & Kopeke and tell them play heavy, finish guys, and cycle the shit unless you got a good chance - keep the puck

Forth line is good with Kastelic & Beecher

As Playmaker posted you put poiteas on RW & keep the the original 4L together

Probably makes more sense and 11 & 13 can Watch his back

But those 6 I like - Geekie can work in

No reason Bruins bottom 6 shouldn’t be really good

Starts with CC

Yes I agree. He has to put up numbers that are as good as last year to cash in. If he has an abysmal season the cost comes down.
