I'll bite. The team playing well and suddenly getting insane goaltending doesn't change the fact that Hamonic gets embarrassingly outskated / caught flatfooted by fast teams. We played an aging Pens team that let the guy play where he's best (half the ice at a time). He did not look good against Carolina.Hamonic with 21+ minutes in game that puts us into a playoff spot.
7-2-1 in their last 10 games
Who wants to complain about Travis Hamonic now??

He's played well in his end but the problem, for me, has always been his transition game and clearing the puck. To his credit he's been doing a better job of clearing it lately. Hiwever, his speed is such a liability they've stuck him with the fastest D-man on the team, and it's really hampered Sanderson's game.
At 7 minutes a night I like the guy. Him dragging down Sandy for 20 a night is no bueno.
Should have some trade value then. You think anyone gives up a 20+ minute RD for him?Big picture is more important than the above. It’s a team game and he’s a big part of the team and he is playing 21 minutes in must win games on a back to back.
Let’s give this guy some credit. Ultimate fox hole guy, he’s improved this season like everyone else on the team and he’s playing in our top pairing.
Big picture, things are going well. Whatever the fans scouting reports say - the guy is a hockey players and he’s old school and I believe in that and all winning teams have that.
If rather have Travis Hamonic on my team then Trevor Zegras
Hamonic is awful. He has broken Sanderson. He can’t make a play with the puck.Hamonic with 21+ minutes in game that puts us into a playoff spot.

7-2-1 I’m the last 10.Hamonic is awful. He has broken Sanderson. He can’t make a play with the puck.
Having Hamonic playing with Sanderson has hurt our offence.7-2-1 I’m the last 10.
Let's use that 10 games sample where Linus is playing out of his mind to extend Travis.7-2-1 I’m the last 10.

8x8 easy hey?
Hamonic is holding on, he shouldn't be a regular let alone in the top 4, but he's giving it his all while Zub is out.
Zub coming back healthy and back to his old self though will be huge especially if we can stay afloat through the holiday road trip.
He's getting cratered almost every time he's on the ice. Advanced stats support that he's essentially been the worst defenseman in the league this year. Multiple times he handcuffs the team by throwing grenades up the boards which often result in sustained pressure by the other team. He is a number 7 D that is dragging down our top pairing, regardless of the recent team results.Zub last 20 games 2024 season
20GP: -6, 3 points, average 20 mins
Hamonic last 20 games 2024
20GP: -5, 1 point, average 18 minutes of cie
Hamonic is doing a good job. He’s not Zub but he’s better then Sens fans give him credit for
Honestly it's the hardest part about being him. It’s the mustache. Gotta be the mustache.
Can you show the advanced stats that support the worst D in the league, as opposed to just guessing. He's getting cratered almost every time he's on the ice. The Sens just need Zub to return to his old self. If Chabot can do it after a few years of despair, Zub should be able to do it too. Hamonic slides down to 6/7 and the team is in much better shape. We need a double upgrade, both Hamonic and Zub.
I think playing too much results in a good chunk of the criticism . They slot him there and he struggles because he just does not have what it takes to play those minutes. You have to love his heart. Citing minutes played for some sort of justification of him being good is a little off the mark.I don't think he's been quite the train wreck some do, but definitely should not be playing 21+ minutes on the top pairing. I feel bad for the guy. Two years in a row we went in saying he needed to be the 6/7 but the coaches always play him as the firm 6, and injuries always force him higher up than he should be. Seems like most coaches would rather fail out with veteran guys based on lack of ability over playing guys they think might not make the right decisions or give 100%.
It's not just play, he's perpetually injured which forces guys to play up the lineup and out of their proper slotting. The Sens just need Zub to return to his old self. Ya, he's played admirably, and I appreciate the effort, but his time has passed. I think he can be hidden on a 3rd pairing okay, for a time during the regular season, as we've seen them win with him playing too high, but if they look serious further down the line, I'd like to see a move to try to give them another option. JBD has looked good with Kleven, so hopefully when Zub is back they can leave that be and put Hammer in the box.I think playing too much results in a good chunk of the criticism . Hamonic is being held up by his partner and the team around him now.
Our depth is not very good on the right side and its a hard position to play effectively
Amadio is different to me. His details are really good. He is a smart player. Not putting up a lot of points but I like him on that 3rd line.Ya, he's played admirably, and I appreciate the effort, but his time has passed. That said, I still think people hyper focus on him a bit too much and wade in to hyperbole. Sort of like Amadio up front.
