If Kreider is eligible, he needs to play. He needs all the play and experience he can get.
Yeah, but I have been firmly and decisively been told here that playoffs do not count. Especially when considering stats and such. The Traverse City committee most likely have read these wise words on HFBoards and of course agrees making Kreider eligibleHe's not eligible. He technically has two years of pro experience.

So...you're saying they should stop showing pens reruns? If I had the picture of the guy getting thrown out the office window, I'd post itRather than recycling worn out reruns, the NHL Network should be broadcasting all of the games from all of these prospect tournaments going on. Coordinate with the teams, other broadcast companies, whatever, to distribute the costs. More coverage only helps the league.
The other day listening to NHL radio, they were talking about how to grow the interest in the WJC in the US. They could start by growing interest in prospects in general and covering these tournaments, does that.

well the 1st game is now just a week away
Folks keep writing about all the 2d year pros who may play at TC
(Jean, Yogan, Hrivik, Miller, McIlrath, even Kreider; also Marcou is 2d-year)
the Rangers have typically NOT used too many 2d year guys at TC - max of 3 in '11 and '08 (details with links - see below)
that would indicate that more advanced guys Kreider, Miller, Hrivik are less likely than 'still developing' young pros such as McIlrath, Yogan and Jean
my draft roster does include Miller, since he (and Jean) have never attended TC
IF NYR go with 4 2d-year, but not Miller, Marcou could be in the mix
also listed are some non_NYR property possible tryout players, from Wolfpack signees, expected Wolfpack tryouts, and still unsigned anywhere Dev Camp attendees
T
more likely than the DC guys, though, will be unknown new tryout invites
Buchnevic is doubtful to leave his KHL team for 2 weeks, but i believe its happened before

Where is the roster already?
Nice analysis by Cwede but I think there will be a few more unknown and a few less established names on the roster. Do not see Miller, Jean or Busnevich on the team for different reasons. Maybe Miller btw...
They're doing it mystery style this year. Brown paper bag on everyone until game time.
I bet there's one guy in the NYR org who is responsible for getting the roster released and he's on vacation until tuesday. that's my best guess as to why we haven't had this roster done. either that, or they're having trouble booking a full roster.
