Grargh. If I see Abramov do ONE MORE forced pass along the blueline that leads to yet another easy odd man rush I'ma strangle the kid. He keeps this up and we'll have to declare the Abramov-on-the-PP-point experiment DOA.

Was that Dubois that just stole the puck and darted in off the half-wall, and I think hitting the near post? #18? Kid is a beast.

Edit: The wings announcer is useless for watching our players.

At least we have commentary, the rest of the games (not against the Red Wings) won't

Son of Bertuzzi scores, 6-3

While doing him no favors for sure, still need to get SOME help from the goaltender.

I only saw the third period, so these observations are somewhat limited but here goes nothing...

If I was coach I'd put Beauvillier (the forward who kept taking penalties) in net next game. Couldn't do worse, might teach a lesson.

Other forwards:

Abramov was a mess. Milano was a mess. Kolesar doesn't have much reach for his size. But he was all over the puck and hard to move. He might just be one of those guys who the puck just goes to.

Dubois has every tool in the shed. Great combination of smarts and nastiness. When he slipped in off the half wall and ripped it - you can tell he is going to be a player no one wants to play against, for a variety of reasons.

The D:

Graves is a beast. Siebenaler is fast and a strong puck carrier. Nutivaara is a mess (I presume it's the ice size).

Watched the entire first period and bits of the second and third. Best moment I saw was the Dubois/Milano PP goal. Incredible feed from Dubois. He showed a little of everything I wanted to see from him, but I'm far from sold on him spending the season with the big club.

Werenski straight-up outclassed everyone else on the Jackets' side of the ice. Word was his offense was ahead of his defense, but his defense was smooth as silk. Can't wait to see him in Columbus.

Graves looked slow as molasses, but I liked his composure. Abramov was bad. Peressini was terrible. Maletta looked lost on the defensive end and basically let in one goal on his own. Siebenaler was fine. Scott is probably an AHL lifer, but he could be a useful one. Thurkauf reminds me of Matt Calvert. That's about all the guys I saw enough of to form thoughts on.

"Nephew of Bertuzzi" doesn't have quite the same ring to it. Though it is accurate that Tyler is the nephew of Todd.
