The players report to Westchester and they skate together as a group before leaving for Michigan. Today is the last day before the team skates tomorrow morning at 10:30am and has their first game at 7:00pm against Dallas.

Stukel was fun to watch in the couple of games I saw of him last year. Really speedy dude that works hard and has been one of Calgary’s better players. He and Matteo Gennaro were their two best forwards and that team was brutal after Genarro was moved to Swift Current.

Or 61. He switched to 61 when they retired no 24 in honor of his dad. How cool is that? The last person to wear the number is the son for whom it was retired.

Very much agreed. I think he's a somewhat under-the-radar prospect with a very good skill set, though he's of course turned heads after last season. He's improved each year (have to factor in age here), and that work ethic is a thing of beauty. This season is huge for him. It just remains to be seen if all will translate to the pro game.

If all goes as well as it could, I'd look at a Brendan Gallagher type. You forget he's a smaller player because he plays so much bigger.

Maybe he can even triple deke.

Eh, they’ll be changed multiple times throughout the tournament, so I wouldn’t read into them too much.

I just care about seeing these kids be prepared to play and have some semblance of a structured game. We got worked by teams like Chicago last season who clearly had a plan in place and played cohesively. I think these guys having some history of playing together will help a lot.

Howden Gettinger and Ronning a very possible line in Hartford this season.

Definitely possible and i wouldn't hate it, on paper they complement eachother nicely. Though i prefer mixing in vets with the prospects, my prefered line would probably be Schneider-Howden-Ronning.

Not sure gettinger can skate well enough to be a top 6 guy even in the ahl. Rather have a vet like Schneider there for sure
