Awesome. I always look for this link. LOL.
They do have teams and rosters if you go to the standings page, and click on a team.
He was measured in Turku at the Liiga combine. I reported on this back in Feb/Mar. Kakko was top of his team in almost every test there as well
Awsome, is it possible to find that report now?
Did you see him in street clothes? String bean lolI think he’s easily 195. He looked huge in the world championships. Was dummying men. I’d be shocked if he was 185

If anyone cares, McBride got his AHL deal today. I figured it would come after TCT, but there it is.
I believe the relevant rule is that an NCAA player may not miss any classes at school in order to attend an NHL program. This is why players who take summer classes skip NHL Development Camp in July. This is on top of the "pay your own way" rule which requires NCAA players to cover their own transportation, hotel, and food for the duration of the event (there is a partial exemption that permits NHL teams to pay the first 48 hours of hotel and food for first-time attendees).
“You cannot play a game where another team is involved,” ...That includes exhibition games or any sort of meet-up between franchises. The rules that govern this also apply to NHL teams, which is why drafted players who are NCAA-bound (or already there) do not play in the Traverse City tournament hosted by the Detroit Red Wings, for example.
Speaking of eligibility again--St. Louis names their team today and I know Klim Kostin is still a young guy but he's also got two full seasons in the AHL (or 133 regular season AHL games) under his belt now. They're also bringing 23 year old Mitch Reinke--a defenseman who put up over 40 points in San Antonio last year. The rest of their lineup looks pretty weak even so---so it's not that it's a real huge deal but the eligibility for this tournament has always been really murky and it would be nice to know.
Healthy Rogers ready to prove his worth | TheAHL.com | The American Hockey LeagueA first-round draft pick by the Lightning in 2004, Rogers, 21, has been here before. Three times, actually. After spending last season with the AHL’s Springfield Falcons, this is Rogers’ final stint at Traverse City. Teams are allowed only four players with no more than one year of pro experience.
Clarification on Traverse City Rules | Bolt ProspectsPer tournament rules, each team may only have a maximum of four players with one year of professional experience each. In order to participate, all skaters must have been born no later than 1983; goalies are exempt from this restriction." As a consequence of this rule, ... will not be eligible to play in this year's tournament (without an exception being made, which is altogether possible in these tournaments).
Remember, teams can only dress up to four players with a full season of NA pro hockey under their belt, so one of Armia, Catenacci, Jacobs, Makarov, and Ristolainen will be scratched per game. If Makarov backs up, I believe they can technically dress five with experience. Last year, those players included: JGL, Girgensons, Knapp, Larsson, Lieuwen, Roy, and Sundher.

When the Red Wings announced their preliminary 2011 NHL prospects tournament roster, Brent Raedeke was no where to be found. The 20 year-old forward is eligible for the tournament having played in only one professional season last year with the Grand Rapids of the AHL. The tournament roster rules restrict participating teams to just four players with a maximum of one year of professional hockey. Detroit has five players who fit into this category – Raedeke, Brendan Smith, Willie Coetzee, Brian Lashoff, and Joakim Andersson.
With five centers already on the roster (Andersson, Louis-Marc Aubry, Landon Ferraro, Brooks Macek, and Alan Quine), Detroit opted to carry eight defensemen for the tournament and leave Raedeke off.
Forgot about Keane. That adds to the D.
So realistically the D pairings something like
Tarmo-Fox
Rykov-Keane
or just flip the LHDs. That's actually a very potent top four along with Skinner/Gross who is a veteran.
Not too shabby.

I would imagine that exceptions are granted to the 4 vet rule in case a team don't have 4 vets with one pro season, then maybe they can bring 3 vets with one pro season and a 4th with 2 seasons. Its also not clear what constitutes a pro season.
Like I said above, I remember how someone from our organization once talked about how we were trying to get exceptions because they didn't think we would have a good enough team one year. This could have been many years ago, possibly even back in the Blueshirt Bulletin paper days that usually had plenty of great stuff on this.
One reason to motivate an exception for Kostin could be that he played in the AHL as an 18 y/o. Hence he isn’t older than most kids that are eligible.
And like you say, I am sure they pay a little extra attention to how strong a team looks to be, with an even playing field being somewhat of a target.
Maybe, but 185 at his height is really slight.

I feel like there are maybe a few hundred people that would want to watch TCT. We go through it every year. Is the expense worth whatever goodwill you would engender to those couple hundred people? Again, keeping in mind the arena is not really equipped to broadcast this thing in any kind of enjoyable way.
