Can't wait to see who gained 15 pounds of muscle this off-season. The Jamie Lundmark Memorial Award.
Christian Dube ate all that horse meat and doesn't even get the award named after him?

Nay... I say Nay... To this

Are there any coaches still available? Maybe Babcock? There’s a few weeks before the season starts. It’s unacceptable to have Blais on the top line and Lafreniere getting third line minutes. Make the change now before it’s too late.
Knickers in a twist, and they havent even been on the ice yet...
Rather have AV?

Laf already has a full beard going, I bet. Try to look more veteran. The minutes will follow.

I personally love the lines. Assuming the ES I ce distribution is very even. The thought of that kid line being even better than last year feasting on the third lines of non playoff teams is mouth watering.

I also like VK with Panarin, but wonder if it might make more sense to flip him and Blais. Blais is basically a more skilled Hunt. CK and Mika can use a real playmaker, they don’t really need a plumber up there.

Lots of options. Happy days.

Babcock is a f***ing terrible coach.

Blais won't last on the top line, this feels more like a "see what we have" thing and a small bit of a "reward" of sorts for the kid line. Coach is basically saying, you guys played well, I want to keep you together.

if the team rolls its top 3 lines fairly evenly it's not a huge deal. Even if Laf and Kakko were in the top 6 they weren't getting power play time (and neither will Blais) but Gallant will have to trust that line to take a regular shift. they're not really kids anymore, they have experience and need to be given room to grow. Give them equal icetime, don't bury them in the third period because you mistakenly think your fourth line is somehow defensively responsible, etc

Feel like that 1st line relies on Mika to be more of a playmaker. Kinda tough...he can definitely do both, but he has 50 goal potential too when he catches fire. Do you handicap that a bit to create what you think is a more balanced lineup or do you steal goals from Kreider to feed Mika?

It’s more about finding the compliment players of course . Question is, if Blais is the best option? I am not sold on the kids line. They had a nice playoff Chytil and Laf, but Kakko ended up getting healthy scratched for an injured Strome.

I still think our ES is an issue, and having strong special teams, pushed them further along. Maybe I’m selling our 5 on 5 a little short, but that‘s how I feel.
Kakko got benched because strome f***ing lied about "can I go" .

Kakko was a huge part of the reason the kid line was as effective. Some of those chytil goals, kakko does some really heavy work on the boards.
If he did what we all wanted, and gained some speed, kakko could be really impressive.
If Laf did what we all wanted and gained some burst, That entire line is gonna be unstoppable.

Easily my least favorite coach I've ever witnessed as a Rangers fan. I'd rather have Colin Campbell or Glen Sather coach this team. It's maddening. Then have to look at his squinty face try to explain his baffling decisions.

26 years old, 133 NHL games, 17 career goals.

20 years old, 135 NHL games, 31 career goals. All of them at even strength.

Fire Gallant.

Rangers gifted number one and number two overall picks, one of them scored 19 EV goals last season, get buried on the 3rd line while a 26 year old with 17 career goals and missed more than half of last season instantaneously gets put on line one with no basis or merit.

Looney Toons.
