I know I'm the only one with a hard-on for Morrow, but he's rumored to be signing with the Blues for 1M for 1 yr. I know Morrow may have slowed down a bit, but he's still better option than Clifford or King as our 3LW.

no, he's not. he has been absolutely horrible the last 3 years. we have no room for him.

No and no.

I do think AA will be one of the first recalls if we need a 3rd/4th line forward, assuming he stays healthy/performs well. He does need more AHL seasoning though, and I've said as such for a while now.
 
Good to see Dustin Brown skating today after the others left practice (per lisa dillman) . Good also that he's expecting new baby brown very soon, she said, within the next 2 days. Hopefully all goes well and he can relax come 10/3.

I'm surprised. I thought he would have used adjectives like "lazy" or "lethargic". On the Penner scale, "mediocre" is a compliment, right?
 
B-b-but I thought he was gonna find his groove with Perry and Getzlaf. On a serious note, I'd define his play in one word as "frustrating" but mediocre will do too I guess.
 
I've read thoughts from Ducks fans and they want nothing to do with Penner on the top line. I think he's gotten too comfortable playing in a certain environment where there isn't as much pressure on him to perform as there was in Edmonton. They got on his case in Edmonton and he responded. Now? Not so much. You see spurts of that potential in him but for the most part, you are going to always be left wanting more out of him.
 
Penner was solid in his latter two Kings playoff appearances...Don't forget in his first playoff round as a King the year we traded for him, he was a healthy scratch under TM.

So for 3 playoffs and 2.5 regular seasons and over 12 million, he had 2 good playoff appearances...and even then he scored what, 6 goals?

Sure, but a couple of the biggest goals in the history of the franchise. Sure I wish he would have been better for us all around, but I can never hate on the guy for what he did to help us get our first cup.
