Yes, Rittich or Laferriere going down opens up space.Would waiving and sending down Riitch allow them to recall Spence?

Rittich doesn't really have an impact on the cap number because Kaliyev needs to be back on the roster to do his time.Would waiving and sending down Riitch allow them to recall Spence?
Yes, that would free up cap space. But they are likely going to call up Kaliyev to begin his suspension.Would waiving and sending down Riitch allow them to recall Spence?

My own speculation: If Arvidsson is hurt, though, they may call up Turcotte or some other forward until Arvidsson is healthy. That way they won't have to roll without two forwards.
Personally, I send Englund down and bring up Spence. Nothing against Englund either, he's played pretty well. He's just really likely to clear with rosters pretty much finalized. He's not a likely target for a bottom team, either. It's okay, I've been told it's actually very normal and good management to play an AHL journeyman on his wrong side while sending down Spence and Clarke because we don't want our .901 save percentage goalie to get claimed so we're left with our .898 36 year old and .903 31 year old and no NHL experience at all behind them
Very apt video coming
They wouldn't be able to do that in time prior to tomorrow's game since Englund requires waivers and he was not put on waivers today.Personally, I send Englund down and bring up Spence. They can bring him back up after Arty's suspension and it buys them 30 NHL days of defenseman musical chairs.

Yeah, but I would still consider it. Got a 4 day gap between the first two games. They wouldn't be able to do that in time prior to tomorrow's game since Englund requires waivers and he was not put on waivers today.
Yep. I don't want RV hurt, but if it's close to 24 days they should LTIR him. It would have to be LTIR, not regular IR.If I am doing the math correctly, Arvidsson going to IR would give the Kings an emergency recall or two AND allow Kaliyev to come up and serve his suspension.
If its not IR worthy, they are in a really tough spot

Totally cool and normal management, every team is going thru it
19 on the roster 1 suspended 1 hurt
it's cool though, it's just like all those contenders that are playing with 22/23 with no holes, exact same thing here
I also noticed you didn’t comment on Stanley Cup favorite Edmonton possibly needing to go with 17 on opening night (or having to waive AHL stud Lavoie). But you’re right, this is unique to the Kings and has nothing to do with the effects of no cap growth. The abbreviated version of the plot: Norris could be ready soon and is not likely to go on long-term injury reserve. The Senators are tight against the salary cap, which hasn’t helped their last-ditch effort to get restricted free agent Pinto signed (how they let this negotiation linger this long is a popular question on social media). And finally, fourth-line winger Zack MacEwen is banged-up, listed as “day-to-day” and not expected to play vs. the Hurricanes, although it is possible.
If MacEwen can’t go, head coach D.J. Smith said the team will run 11 forwards and six defencemen against the always tough Hurricanes.
“That’s for sure the situation,” Smith said. “Eleven and six. In saying that, there’s guys that love minutes. And there’s guys that can play lots. We have a couple of days off between games (next up is Saturday’s home opener).”
Okay. Edmonton management has morons running the team, and they just expect McDavid and Draisaitl to bail them out of their mismanagement issues.I also noticed you didn’t comment on Stanley Cup favorite Edmonton possibly needing to go with 17 on opening night (or having to waive AHL stud Lavoie).
