Nice plays by the whole line. Nice hit by Bolduc to start, and nice goal to finish. Nice recovery and 2 good passes from Dean. And a nice little move by McGing to create some space for Dean in the middle.

For those who can't watch the tweet. Bolduc hit a guy against the boards, Dean picked up the lose puck at the blue line and pushed it through 2 defenders to McGing. McGing made a nice little move to the outside to go around a defender who followed him, opening up space for Dean in the middle. MCGing passed it to Dean, who drew the last defender, he then passed it to a wide open Bolduc for the 1-time goal from about 10 feet out.

Are the stats right? Did Ellis give up 3 goals on 3 shots?
They say DAL had 16 total shots in the game and the Blues 13. I certainly hope they’re wrong or that was one heck of a boring game!

The part where Ellis gave up 3 late in the game after coming in for Binny is probably accurate though. For his sake, I hope it was on more than 3 shots.

that was a nice goal and play by Dean and Bolduc. Those 2 might have some chemistry. I saw some nice Kyrou plays on the game highlights. Here’s my hot take… Kyrou is going to score 40 and have 100 pts.

id think 40g and 100 pts would offset his defensive liabilities. He does create turnovers with his speed, but just needs to backcheck more.

not if hes a -50 or whatever he was

i dont have much faith in him ever being a even decent 2 way player.

I am am saying that +/- is not in any way a stat that shows how good or bad a player is defensively
anyone who tries to tie the defensive abilities to a player by +/- shows their complete ignorance of hockey right there
You’re right. Way he worded his post threw me off for some reason. Thanks for clearing that up, I thought he was saying something different but I see now he ain’t. Thanks bro.

After watching the first 2 days of Training Camp, here are my thoughts on some players:

Kyrou - stronger, faster, should be a perennial all-star
Thomas - our #1 C, also could be a perennial all-star
Buchnevich - same Buch, can be a perennial all-star too
Hayes - big, smart, could make all-star appearance
Vrana - looks like an all-star goal scorer
Perunovich - quick, determined, almost like an all-star
Krug - Sucked
Hofer - stud goalie, future HOF’er maybe
Scandella - looks healthy, could be a stud d-man again
Yes, but will Vrana bother to give a try to backchecking and give decent effort to impede opponents in the defensive zone?
