Rooney needs 7 games. He will get them.
Not saying he won't. Just saying we most likely don't have to rely on that

So yea, people were wrong to think it was just “quarantining”. It’s an injury like i thought. The day to day has slowly turned into a week.
From this morning:This is gonna seem petty, but the way that K’Andre update was worded really annoys me.
They said it like we already knew he was out. Actually, we didn’t, because we haven’t gotten any f***ing information this training camp.
Vince actually seems to do a great job. But give us some context FFS.

He was being sarcastic.
But that usually requires a decent rookie season. Howden didn't really have one.
Last year was more like a Sophomore dump.

Never heard this term.huh? its actually so common that there is a term sophomore slump
Between the Knicks being good and the Mets trade I want something exciting for us too.
Just wait until the third season comeback: the junior jamboreeNever heard this term.
Never heard this term.
Probably but you need to have two forwards available for expansion and there’s always a chance one of the top 5 get traded. Not saying he won't. Just saying we most likely don't have to rely on that
Yeah, could be an injury, I am sure he has been skating in Sweden. But it’s perfectly possible that it’s a cold/flu too right? Could certainly be Covid, not that it’s a big deal for a young athlete (most players I’ve heard from have had little to no symptoms).
Let’s say it is Covid related for arguments sake.
True that younger and in shape athletes can have a much less severe or no symptoms at all - that is - normally noticeable by doctors or even the athlete themselves.
However there are many pro athletes who have access to some cutting edge physiological technologies, such as Whoop bracelets (kind of like a Fitbit on steroids) that measure cardiovascular levels, sleep patterns, recovery data, etc.
It’s possible that this data could provide some underlying issue that could either alarm an athlete of a coming positive test or issues with recovering from a seemingly asymptotic response.
Interesting read about it below. Not saying this is what is going on (I am no doctor I just play one on TV) just felt the need to share:

Clearly zero bias, given the username. The only line Howden should be centering should be in my rec game next week
I'm not the biggest Howden fan but man this guy for a 22 year old gets a lot of unwarranted hate. From all accounts he is having a pretty decent camp thus far, let's see how he does in his 3rd NHL season before the pitchforks come out?
Looks like we know who our next captain is.
Really happy that Buch has looked great in camp, but... "Breakout camp"? lmao, let's see how it translates to games.
Agreed. That's true for a lot of our guys - positive and negative.
We’re not even talking about preseason games, we’re talking about scrimmages. Probably don’t want to get too up or too down right now.
We're talking about camp, not preseason games, not preseason game, we're talking about camp.
