Not sure how to embeed a tweet, but here a the goals from yesterday:

at around 55 second mark that is a great view. Chytil looks like he actually loses control and Lafreniere wastes no time on following up and maneuvering around 2 players then making a tremendous pass. Nice vision :thumbu:

He's such a great speaker and fresh air from the typical hockey interview, he actually has a conversation with the person asking him questions lol
We'll see how this Tony-Trouba pairing works out

M. Staal the last couple of years was not a stay at home defenseman who freed up Tony for offense. Tony got the points in spite of Marc. Marc pinched the zone and rushed the puck (on those occasions he actually got the puck out of our zone) just as much as others in the D corps did. On the other hand, Marc was literally a stay at home defenseman. We were pinned in our own end most of the time he was on the ice.

In fairness to people talking about JJ

We've seen bad coaches making stubborn, bad decisions that go into the realm of blind favoritism for vets who dont belong on the ice. It makes sense people recognize all the signs of the same thing about to happen and are frustrated.

How many times can people be asked to "give it a chance. Sure he was unanimously considered so bad he's AHL worthy but maybe the coaches need something intangible" Only to watch the guy given key minutes in crucial situations and fail every single time.

Chytil said he worked really hard on improving his shot over the break. Perfect timing.

14 goals last season, and he beat some good goalies pretty cleanly with a few wristers on the rush. We saw a nice one timer in the scrimmage.

With Laf playing on his wing and Chytils willingness to dog the puck and get to the net I could see him taking another step. And they’ll need that.

I think everyone knows he has the ability to play the middle but before the draft the main question was if he could elevate himself to the 2nd line center role.

But now with Strome back and Lafreniere on his wing, he now will get a winger who can help drive the play and he may not have to take on as much of that responsibility. This might be a really good combo especially with these two on the third line.

Hey guys. Complete outsider here. I want to choose a NYR goalie as my 2nd option, or even as a 3rd. Which one would play more?

There’s definitely room for synergy there. Chytil is by means a bad pack carrier but I think he was getting a bit more in trouble because there was some difficulty for him to find the right outlet. IMHO it was at least partially on his wingers, either struggling like Kakko or just not talented enough like others. With Lafreniere on his wing now and with his own improvement, I wouldn’t be surprised if Chytil takes a nice step forward in his progress AND still stays in 3C to not mess with success.

Epic interview by ADA

Nailed it on the first one. Shame the view count is so low. There are very easy ways to jack that up and increase ad revenue. Players should push for that, you can rep your brands and double dip on the exposure.

Frankly the view counts are super low across the league, there are very easy ways to make more revenue there.

Great interview Tony.

Chytil skates the puck through the neutral zone real well but I feel like he kinda struggles when gaining the offensive zone with making a move around defensemen, dishing it off, etc. If they can work on him carrying the puck with his skating and dishing it to a distributor (Lafreniere) in the offensive zone it may work out better

Or I could be dumb I dunno

Just peaked in that thread. Didn't take long to get to CBJ being full of Q conspirators, hence why PLD wants out.

So thank you for that.

yikes

This is exactly what I was referring to.

Chytil's issue is he doesn't use his wingers enough which makes him predictable and easier to defend. A give and go here or there would help him create space for himself imo
