Side note; currently watching the hawks/yotes playoff game last year on nhl network. Boy Pyatt is a big boy. Parked himself right in front of the net. He then dumped Duncan Keith in the corner. I like the addition.

Just noticed this video...pretty intense...

As one youtube comment states "This is probably the saddest, most heartwrenching video I have ever watched."

nice! Gabby healthy is fantastic and I think Kreider will be his linemate. Gonna be a FAST line

So are the call ups allowed up then? Must be...........any other CT Whale like Gilroy, Kolarik, Haley or Hrvik?

There are plenty of FA's still to think about coming into training camp. There's Mike Knuble, Radek Dvorak, Eric Fehr, Jesse Winchester, Jason Arnott, Petr Sykora, Johnathan Cheechoo, Byron Bitz, and Chris Campoli to name a few. Still believe Kurtis Foster and Cody Franson haven't gotten a contract yet.

might be quantity but not quality

if they are just looking for a depth 3rd/4th liner that will start out in the press box then as long as one of them comes cheap its not a bad idea. Dvorak is my top choice as a fast Pker for the 4th line.

Foster is a 3rd pairing defensemen who isn't a good skater, makes a ton of mistake, and only has a big shot to make up for it

Franson already has a contract with Toronto

With points key in a short season, and the Rangers in-ability to score in the shootout last year, I would consider taking a chance with Sykora just for shootout purposes if he is indeed a FA. I know he is getting older but would give depth on PP also. Could give him spot duty on 4th line and fill in top two lines if/when injuries occur.

Terrible stuff. Hopefully he can flourish as a Ranger. I wish him the best.

Honestly I don't think there is any carry over effect on success via the shootout from one season to the next. Even if we didn't add Nash things would change...but adding him to the top 3 shooters will likely make a difference. He was 4 for 9 last season (44.4%). Plus, if we can muster just a bit more offense this year we'll win more games in regulation, making shootout success less of a factor.

if Gilroy makes the team please tell me he is not going to use 97 or whatever high number had before.

As for the lines well Torts will mix it up hoever they like but yea doesnt surprise me. Cally on LW likely wont happen though.

He will. He does it for his brother who passed away.

Those aren't bad guesses at lines but seeing as how Tortorella can't even talk to the team yet, there's no way that they're "official"

Hagelin plays LW, it's more likely that person just wrote the lines down wrong. Callahan would be the RW on that line, Hagelin the LW
