Something that has to be considered is that Bickel has most likely improved over the offseason. He is still young

Unless he somehow became lighter on his feet, he is barely an NHL defenseman. Simply cannot keep up with the speed of the game at this level.

Those were lines when team was skating without torts and richie didn't practice today. So too soon to consider it a set line

You sure about that Ola? I think it may be the other way around actually... would be interesting to know though. I think at least for Fast & Lindberg since they are contracted by NYR that they hold the rights. Like at WJC and so on...

Hank has had a couple of seasons where he was REALLY slow out of the gate. 1 for sure. 06-07, he started off brutally.

Yeah, I remember the game against the Penguins that I went to with Cartman27 and Crosby scored that ****ing goal off of Aaron Ward's leg to beat us. We lost 7-6.

He yelled out "You ****ing suck, Henrik!" as we left. I was like relax, that's crazy talk.

Anyone have any guesses as to who may be brought in to camp on a tryout? My guesses:

Jesse Winchester
Kristian Huselius
Radek Dvorak
Mike Commodore

I'd like Winchester or Dvorak. Commodore, eh... not too sure about him. Won't be bothered if he shows up.

Just noticed this video...pretty intense...

As one youtube comment states "This is probably the saddest, most heartwrenching video I have ever watched."

I feel absolutely HORRIBLE for Taylor Pyatt. It makes me hope even more that he does well in here for us. The guy just seems like a really good guy that's just trying to get his life back together and I sort of know how that feels.

Customarily, a Tortorella camp opens with two straight days of grueling endurance and sprint skating, no sticks or pucks on the ice. But this year there is no time for that. Tortorella ran his players through passing drills, line rushes and controlled scrimmaging.

“We don’t want to injure them — if we did the amount of work that we did in a regular camp on the first day, we wouldn’t be able to play,” Tortorella said. “It’s a different dynamic this year.”
