The six defensemen for Game 1 are looking to be
  1. Rielly
  2. Brodie
  3. McCabe
  4. Boosh
  5. Edmundson
  6. Benoit
Outside looking in:
  1. Liljigren
  2. Lagessoon
Is Lilly about to get the Sandin treatment to recover some draft capital? It certainly feels like deja vu in motion. Unless someone thinks we're going to scratch Benoit (highly doubt we're trending in that direction)

Depth is key. Leafs had a ton of LHD depth to move Sandin in the way they did.

We're lacking a lot of play making defenders right now. Defenseman that can make zone exits and make plays at the offensive blueline. Removing Liljegren just because we got Lyubushkin and Edmundson is not an improvement to me.

Unless there's seriously awesome value by flipping Liljegren, it makes no sense to remove him just because he might be rotating in and out of the lineup.

If there are no injuries do you think Lilly plays game 1?

Why does it bother you ?

I’d find it frustrating if they discussed golf, baseball, or the ECHL. When I tune in to watch the trade center, I’m looking for trades, rumors, and insightful analysis.

Cus it's trade deadline. I'm guessing people tuned in are interested in trade talk.

It's like going to a Chinese restaurant and then being served Italian. I love Italian, I was just expecting Chinese.
Oh I see, you're worried about them not talking about the single trade that's happened today enough. Kuzy for a 3rd............let's dig deeper

We need to hold onto the picks we have left. This week was a harsh reminder that we most likely aren't beating the Bruins or Panthers in the playoffs.

1 more player isnt gonna change the fact our core guys are too scared to face them and are ok with staying on the outside. This Bruins team is a shell of its former self in toughness without guys like Chara, Lucic, Horton, Seidenberg, etc but still we're scared...

Its sucks to say, but its reality.
I didn't think we played scared at all yesterday, in fact, I thought we bullied them around quite a bit.

Both networks love shoving International Women's Day in Hockey Culture down the audience's throat today.

The post Cherry era of hockey media in Canada sucks.
So is it bothering you too when they talk about playoffs and Wayne Simmonds' career and other tangential non-trade segments?
Or is there a specific reason why 30sec segments on the PWHL during International Women's Day on a sports network is bothering you?

Both.

Also, if Brad can trade for some passion and character modules to install into Marner, Matthews, JT, and Willy, that would be great too.

I don't know man. If I am the GM I want to see more out of Matthews, Marner and Willy in the post season. I want to see them raise their playing level in the playoffs before I commit our future for them.

Personally I haven't seen them raise their level in the post season; they often get shut down; plenty of evidence of that from past post season and this regular season when things tighten up i.e. no time and space these guys just keep playing perimeter hockey.

I'd rather have ELC help in the future. Also gotta wait out that Tavares contract. We deserpately need a retool. Avs did their retool and that got them a cup

That’s good, but that only works if our damn stars can put the puck in the damn net when the games become tighter. We got outplayed where it matters. Defensively, and in goal. If Boston can beat our d and goalies consistently, we are toast. Doesn’t matter how much we bully them.

I think we go full out and try get Crosby lol. We have to risk it. We are at a point where we need that big move .

Dubas being Dubas in Pitt. Gets wrecked on the 1st conditions, acquires three prospects who more then likely will not be significant NHL players, and Michael Bunting.

That's not a good trade.
