I wouldnt touch it. Price's stock is up now because he got hot at the right time for the playoff run, but he's been an average to below average goalie overall for the past 4 years.

Sign Driedger, claim Bishop, etc. They have options to shore up goaltending without taking any risk.
Thats just it. Driedger looks like a shoo-in to be a Kraken. Basically there are better options than to sink $10.5 into a 34 year old goalie.

I wouldn't sink that kind of cash into a goaltender, some teams do but I couldn't stomach it

Of the final 4 teams this year 3 of them were the highest paid in the game.

1. Carey Price - Montreal
2. Sergei Bobrovsky - Florida
3. Andrei Vasilevskiy - Tampa Bay
4. Marc-André Fleury - Vegas
5. Tuuka Rask - Boston

The Vegas Knights the other recent expansion team have one, and Vas just won the Conn Smythe.

I think we have a deal In place for kuemper since they traded hill and col protected grubauer as they were also intrested in kuemper.might as well take assets for both hill and kuemper and sign a ufa goalie to get u by

Now do the last decade. Guys making 5 million or less is the standard almost every cup final.

What is to say they couldn't take it on and then trade him?

Price @$10.5 mil for Jack Eichel @ $10 mil and Seattle could turn that into a #1C.

If Seattle said Carey Price for Mitch Marner should Toronto not consider that?

There are a lot of rich NHL teams with lots of free cap space.. Tuukka Rask in a UFA in fact no goalie under contract and Boston has $25 mil in free cap space.. If you add Price to play behind that perfection line would Boston become the Cup favouites?

I think the reason Seattle is considering it is because they might have options beyond just keeping him.

Besides Carey Price is a BC boy, and played for Tri-City Americans of the WHL, which is just outside Seattle, Washington and the reason Price likely waived his NMC is to possible move closer to home for him and back to his roots and he is really close with him Mom.

I wouldn't be surprised if Price is hoping the Kraken take him and if that is the case Seattle would be crazy not to consider it and all their options. Remember Vegas started our MA Fleury in net post expansion and found immediate stability in net and on ice success.
Lmao, Marner for Price? You've got to be joking right? Price for Eichel? No one in their right mind would take Price on and trade a young player of Marner or Eichel's caliber.

Most of those guys have been wildly inconsistent, Price only shows for the playoffs, Bobrovsky blows, Vasilevsky is great but he's a younger man than most of these guys, Fleury looks great now but looked washed a couple of years ago and Rask has been inconsistent to

Like seriously if Ron Francis doesn't select a future HOFer who just led his team to the SCF there's no hope for this league. That would have to mean him and Bergy are secretly best friends.

And in prior years, that was not the case.

If Seattle does take Price that is the single best thing that can happen to the Leafs in the expansion draft as Carey is the reason the Leafs exited early and if he is out of the Div and playing in the West that only helps the Leafs.

If the Leafs re-signed Bogosian to even the same money as Holl @ $2 mil per and played him in the top 4 beside Muzzin and promoted Liljegren to the 3rd hole and lost Holl would Leafs really be that much worse off ??

The reason Bogosian has said he is not resigning is he wants a bigger role than 3rd pairing with the Leafs.

BOGO said that? Do you have a quote source or are you pulling this out of thin air, as you typically do?

Based on the expansion draft and players available what are the odds that Seattle is able to ice a team that is better than the Leafs next year?

Vegas has only been around 4 years and won 8 playoff rounds and advanced to the SCF already once. If that is also Seattle trajectory then the will blow by our Leafs.
Perspective…..

He was on Leafs Lunch recently (within in the last month and post Leafs elimination) giving an interview with host Andi Petrillo about how he wants a larger role than 3rd pairing Dman like he was given in Toronto this year and wants to test the market to see what is out there.

With the Leafs protecting Holl that all but seals Bogosian fate baring a change of heart.

Wow, I wouldn't touch that contract but fair play to them if they want to take it on
If they can work it cap wise why wouldn’t they, he’s still a killer goalie, might have to eat the last couple of years of his contract, but good way to start a franchise is with a future HOF goalie.

I can't find that interview, but today we got an insider tweet that Bogosian wants to play for an American team because he doesn't want to deal with the border situation.

Lots of speculation out there, but most likely he ultimately wants what every ufa wants - the biggest paycheque.

So if he is lost and Holl is lost, were back to 1 NHL rhd on the roster.
