You just described several players on the Leafs, Holmberg isn’t alone in this that’s for damn sure…….
For some reason they love those utility type guys with no pop.

I want those board crunching cycle players who get in the dirty areas you know what I mean? For some reason they love those utility type guys with no pop.
3 players I can see the Leafs interested in come trade deadline will be,
Scott Laughton (who seems like every season the Leafs have interest)
Morgan Frost
Ross Colton
Personally my favorite out of the 3 would be Colton as he would make a solid 3rd line center for this team.
So holmberg is already nearing the cast off line?
Why cant he just be an internal 3rd 4th line player for a couple years and get better

Sooo marner just has bad luck? You take advantage of opportunities and ge clearly did.I’ll point out his 28.6% shooting in the playoffs points to luck, not some skill we should be excited about. He also only put up 3 points in the regular season. He’s not that good.
Not my list ... and it is like advanced stats, doesn't mean much if it overlooks what happened rather than what might have happened in some alternate reality.Timmins is likely to be waived, if he's ranked at #3 your entire list is invalid
He wouldn't be on my list to move either. No way they move Holmberg. He's had what, 80-something games in the NHL? Even if he's 25 he still has potential upside, he's good defensively, can play any forward position, and his cap hit is minimal. Seems like someone you keep for sure, but I could be wrong.

He's also the lowest paid and wants to be there. He wouldn't be on my list to move either.
I'm aware It's not your list.
But any list that has Timmins ranked 3rd is a completely invalid list.

If Patches gets a look, why wouldn’t Clutterbuck? Poor man’s Bertuzzi…….

There's no scenario, outside injuries that Timmins is on the team.I think Timmins jarnkrok and kampf future
With the team hinges on whether Cowan
Minten and grebonkin show if they have the skill to make the team
I know Timmins is a dman but it’s just his cap hit that one of the kids will replace
IMHO kampf and jarnkrok for sure should be gone
Both are now redundant on the team now
Use that 4.5 million in cap to go after a third line center
Trade chips Timmins Robertson Bprospect like Voit/abruzuzeee draft pick etc
If we didn’t trade Robertson while he was refusing to sign, I don’t see why we would now with him signed to a measily 875k. He is very likely to score 20+ goals for us
+9 in 25 games, wish they had more players that dumb. There's no scenario, outside injuries that Timmins is on the team.
I get that people like the tools and the frequent injuries might make you think there's room to grow, and maybe there is, but he may be the single "dumbest" defenseman I've ever seen wear a Leafs uniform. He makes Ric Jackman look like Nic Lidstrom with his decision making out there.
He'll be waived and he won't be claimed.
He probably still wants to be traded so the Leafs could trade him if a team offer up a return that is good/makes sense.
