Free Phil!
Still better shooting% than marner.I'm not sure how to respond to this. I mean, is this a case of purposefully being difficult, or having a complete lack of knowledge of stats... I really can't tell. Statistical variances beyond the norm, aren't valid measurements of any future success. Lorentz's career shooting is 8%... expecting nearly 29% going forward, based on two goals in 7 shots is foolish at best.
Marner's shooting % in the playoffs career is 7.6%... That's what you'd expect from him going forward, unless somehow he makes changes in his game to improve that. He shot just above that this year.
Am I wrong to suggest I rather have him over Paches? Even ignoring the Nostalgia factor.I wish roster size was 25 just so we could put him there
He was honest, so give him the 16 games to get the 8 points.Am I wrong to suggest I rather have him over Paches? Even ignoring the Nostalgia factor.
Of course I'm biased. Still love the guy
I’m sure Phil doesn’t feel the ssme about Toronto as his fans do, he was ran out of town why would he want to come back…….Whenever it happens I hope the Leafs sign Phil to a 1 day contract so he can retire as a Leaf
Who was that author who talked dirt about him prior to his draft?I’m sure Phil doesn’t feel the ssme about Toronto as his fans do, he was ran out of town why would he want to come back…….
Played most games in his draft class, some will pass him, with more years played. If Phil got into real athletes shape he could probably play alot longer.
This whole "1 day contract to retire as a XXXX" is possibly the stupidest thing in professional sports.Whenever it happens I hope the Leafs sign Phil to a 1 day contract so he can retire as a Leaf

Revenge is a dish best served cold, it was priceless when he brought the cup to Toronto, as good a troll as he was a sniper…….Who was that author who talked dirt about him prior to his draft?
ESPN: Kessel's Draft Combine wasn't pretty.

How many Cups for Phil?
Phil shoved it down their throats.
Atlantic Division gonna be a bloodbath again
Now NHL’s heaviest team, are Bruins looking to go back to ‘big bad’ brand of hockey?
The 2024-25 Bruins are the heaviest team in the NHL, and also boast 13 skaters at 6-foot-3 or taller. Will that matter on the ice?www.boston.com
Cup winners on the opposite end probably tells you it’s meaningless. What a dumb article.
Boston might be large but they aren’t a very physically imposing team.
I think the odds of the Leafs acquiring a goalie prospect are probably not very high.
A couple double digit players?
Some slim pickings to be had
If ever there was a team who should of been talking to the Leafs about Robertson it's Columbus
Probably wouldn't have cost a ton to aquire or pay but with some upside still
Your rebuilding, that's an acceptable dice roll imo
