I'm not sure how to respond to this. I mean, is this a case of purposefully being difficult, or having a complete lack of knowledge of stats... I really can't tell. Statistical variances beyond the norm, aren't valid measurements of any future success. Lorentz's career shooting is 8%... expecting nearly 29% going forward, based on two goals in 7 shots is foolish at best.

Marner's shooting % in the playoffs career is 7.6%... That's what you'd expect from him going forward, unless somehow he makes changes in his game to improve that. He shot just above that this year.
Still better shooting% than marner.

I’m sure Phil doesn’t feel the ssme about Toronto as his fans do, he was ran out of town why would he want to come back…….
Who was that author who talked dirt about him prior to his draft?

How many Cups for Phil?

Phil shoved it down their throats.

If Phil got into real athletes shape he could probably play alot longer.
Played most games in his draft class, some will pass him, with more years played.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, it was priceless when he brought the cup to Toronto, as good a troll as he was a sniper…….

Some slim pickings to be had

If ever there was a team who should of been talking to the Leafs about Robertson it's Columbus
Probably wouldn't have cost a ton to aquire or pay but with some upside still

Your rebuilding, that's an acceptable dice roll imo

I'm sure they'll look at some options like JVR, Clutterbuck and Hoffman but the trade route could be viable. What Columbus needs is salary to reach the floor comfortably. They won't have any issues finding options but I think the Leafs could be good trading partners.
