It probably means that. The Leafs might have a deal with Seattle though. So it's possible Kerfoot will get traded to Seattle in a soft deal instead of them taking Holl or Dermott.

My hunch is that they still trade Kuemper. They're rebuilding and Kuemper wants out. This allows them to get assets for both Kuemper and Hill rather than just 1.

If anything, this makes Kuemper more likely to be dealt here, I think.

2 2nd's and a 3rd is still too much. Lou is throwing away good players under market value (Toews,Leddy) and draft picks like crazy because of cap-mismanagement is going to hurt the Islanders a lot longer than anything Dubas has done so far.

Islanders have an aging roster, a weak prospect pool, and a lot of guys signed long term to high AAV's
