It probably means that. The Leafs might have a deal with Seattle though. So it's possible Kerfoot will get traded to Seattle in a soft deal instead of them taking Holl or Dermott.

which would save them 1.9 million. I thought that might be the case.

So, from my understand of this trade it looks like we made out like bandits here, i guess Pittsburgh really valued Hollander?

I know he's a decent prospect with size, but McCan is proven and a great addition. I'm a bit confused how this was pulled off.

McCann is what we hope Hallander would be in 4 years.

Now we just need to sign Bunting and the Soo connection is complete.

Damn I just had to go out the last hour and lot of shit actually happened.

We got McCann right on. I think that's a solid addition. Could they sign him to his next contract right away?

Stratford boy too. Did Pitts just want to get rid of a bit of salary. I think Leafs won this.

Goodrow for a 7th, so NYR look like they are getting him (or perhaps Goodrow doesn't want to sign with them).

Howden for a 4th. Surprised anyone wanted him, but Vegas probably can transform him into a useful bottom 6er.

Flyers get better now, Nashville accelerates the rebuild/retool, VGK get a player further along in his development. Good trade.

Ladd + picks to Zona

If it's a 1st+ than it's to much imo
2 2nd's and a 3rd is still too much. Lou is throwing away good players under market value (Toews,Leddy) and draft picks like crazy because of cap-mismanagement is going to hurt the Islanders a lot longer than anything Dubas has done so far.

Islanders have an aging roster, a weak prospect pool, and a lot of guys signed long term to high AAV's
