Please don't buy any Rielly, Nylander, or Marner jerseys and pick up a Lupul or Dion one :naughty:

I have a JVR one I'm nervous about. It also works if people buy them for me. So you pay and I'll wear it.

Had to jump over here to see your reactions.

You guys still need a closer and if the Padres are still interested in sending Kimbrel to Toronto (I don't want to), what do you think would be acceptable to give us from your side?

What a week to be a jays fan, woooo, David Price makes this team legit.

To all you haters talking about giving up the farm, the window to win is small, I'm hyped AA has the balls to go for it unlike most other GMs out there. The team hasn't made the playoffs in over 20 years. 2015 WS here we come!

I think this is a fantastic deal for the Jays. Personally think Alford has passed Norris as the best prospect and I'm not high on Boyd -- maybe a 5th starter. Labourt is the wildcard who is a lefty, throws hard but has command problems. Could be a #3 if he puts it together.

Everyone is getting so upset about losing prospects.

This team needs to make the playoffs...if you do that and win a series; other players will want to sign with us during the off-season.

We're still in great position.

Boyd doesnt have much upside and Labourt has control problems and will likely be a pen, coupled with Norris' struggles is not so bad.

Huge overpayment for a rental.

No pitching prospects left....lol

Zero chance Price re signs here...

SRF and Harris are notables. Stroman, Sanchez and Osuna are extremely young still.

Norris I could stomach. Not Alford.

Don't really understand this deal. This team is going no where fast this year, everything should be going toward next season.

They're two games out of a playoff spot with 60 games to play and the best offense in all of baseball.

You seriously don't think that adds up to having a shot at the playoffs now that they just picked up the best pitcher on the market?

Thanks for the quick responses. The jays are going to become the only toronto team that I will follow

Come on, if the Jays get a wild card spot they can easily beat a team like Houston. Especially if it's Price pitching that game. They are 2 games out, they can easily get a wild card spot. I am also not convinced that the Yankees are that good. They still have ~60 games to falter, and those old guys running out of steam.
