You guys are funny re the Yankees. The thing is they have a much better record than the Jays. The facts. Easier to play from their position. We have certainly increased our odds of a possible WC. 7 games is a lot to make up.

Screw the Yankees. Yes, they do have a better record. How? I don't know. They are not a great team. Every single guy in our clubhouse believes we can overtake them. That's how it should be. You think Bautista, Donaldson, Tulo, Price, Martin are settling for a wild card spot? Hell no! They are coming after the geriatric squad!

Shi Davidi once again hinted at a possible Left Field addition.

This seems hard to believe:

Jays rotation ERA: 4.34

Yankees rotation ERA: 4.32.

Is their bullpen that big of a difference?

no not really

Jays bullpen: 3.40 ERA, 3.51 FIP, 3.41 xFIP

Yanks bullpen 3.22 ERA, 3.37 FIP, 3.36 xFIP

the timing of those runs has been bad though, causing a few 1 run losses, I'd say that's the biggest difference. Timing.

Seems like if Jays make anymore acquisition, it would be a minor move. Most likely to get some depth for Triple A because the depth is Doubrant/Francis/Copeland if a starter goes down.

Long time Tigers fan here...Nice pickup by the Jays!..You are going to absolutely love David Price...He's a top 5 pitcher in all of baseball. Unfortunately, the Tigers can't afford to give him a 200M contract this offseason so they had to unload him.

What's the story on the prospects the Jays gave up?..Is Daniel Norris any good? What's his upside,a #1 or #2 pitcher?

In essence, the Jays have really experienced some stupid luck this year.

And I guess the best way to address that is two bullpen arms (Hawkins and Sanchez), get an ace and add a superstar hitter who is also pretty good at SS.
