They could go:
1st Round - Sorokin
2nd Round - Vasilevsky
3rd Round - Shesterkin

So getting goalies is certainly a possibility.
Or like the Avs where their players made sure they don’t get goalied in a series

I've seen his stats and a lot of people have been talking about him for a long time.

Being honest... I don't watch Coyotes games much so what is a decent comparable to him? Or past player that's similar?

I'm warming to the idea of someone like him especially on the LW.
6'4 220lb power forward who will help in the corners, crash the net, block shots, play well defensively, and is good enough offensively to play on one of the top lines.

In terms of making this team even more of a playoff team, he'd be a great fit. But obviously, depends on cost.

If next year’s 3rd line could be Crouse, ROR, and Knies, we're cookin

I don't think so. You need someone who can carry the puck, and set people up. I see the allure of a heavy forecheck game, but every line needs some balance. You've got nobody to properly distribute the puck here. The guy you want, is Holmberg on this line. Put him with any of the other two, and you've got something interesting.

He isn't a rental, so cost to term ratio is a consideration.

I was hoping to see ... like a Wendel Clark lol but that also sounds good.

Guess cap circumvention is a one-way street.

And I imagine they won't investigate the Bruins? They shouldn't, but how is it any different to stash Hall for the playoffs and using his money to get Bertuzzi vs. Trading for a guy who has the same recovery timeline but just is not on your roster and will be stashed until the playoffs all the same.

If they don't like people doing things like this, change the rules.

Toronto Maple Leafs Trade Rumors: Leafs looking to add one more goalie

Yeah not buying it. You can't say Leafs need to improve goaltending and list Lankinen and Gibson of all people as targets. Lankinen has had a good season but you may as well go with Samsanov then.
Demko sure but a deal that big where you are giving up huge pieces doesn't make sense right now.

Well Holmberg can play center, take out O'Rielly.

Dubas when asked yesterday, said they aren't looking for a goalie...

Murray might still be Dubas demise.

If the unreliable and often injured Murray is not available during the playoffs then Leafs have Samsonov and Kallgren/Woll, and in Sammy should struggle or get hurt it game over.

Murray has a long history of concussions (and with Boston and TB bulking up of crease crashers) so I worry he won't last long even if available.

All the moves made on F and D could mean nothing if goaltending doesn't hold up.

Also Sammy is real strong at home but struggles on the road. In 12 starts this year he is 5-6-1 record with 3.01 GAA and .899 sv%. road record. That doesn't bode well in a playoff series.

You're only as strong as your weakest link and Leafs are vulnerable at goaltending, but Dubas doesn't want to address it because that would reflect back on him that Murray was big high risk/reward mistake.

Wasting a draft pick on a 3rd string goalie who never ends up playing and wouldn't even be an upgrade on Woll just seems so unnecessary and dumb. I could still see Dubas doing it though

Wouldn't the Coyotes like to have a broken down Murray they could put on LTIR for another year?

They could hit the Cap Floor with 23 players on ELC's.

Hopefully he learned from the last time with Ritich. I’m all for trading for an upgrade to one of our 2 guys but assets for a 3rd goalie who you still wouldn’t really be comfortable with starting games in the playoffs is beyond stupid.

Are you talking Ritchie bc he was not good when he was here.

I know you are talking about Crouse but I just get the same Ritchie vibe from him
