A few mentioned earlier today that if he came here then he couldn’t play road games in the US. You’d think an Insider would know that.
Given that Friedman was he first person I head mention it a couple of weeks back, he was certainly aware of the possible issue. But I haven’t heard him mention it lately, so I wonder f they have gottten some kind f clarification that it does not apply.

EDIT: From a brief Google search, I’m not sue that his Work Visa expires when he leaves a U.S. joB, but rather at a specific time. So, my vying to Canada to do a job may not effect his US status.

I’d also like to point out that Friedman, when discussing this, only mentioned that it might be a possible issue not it was a definite issue. I think I did the same thing when I’ve brought it up on here.

If Woll gets a shut out tomorrow, are we going to start a let’s trade Sammy or Murray for picks thread?

Apologies in advance, but that is the dumbest thing I have read in awhile.

You want to waive (and lose) a defender who is slotted in to the bottom pairing RD position next season to keep a f'n pending UFA this season in Kerfoot? Plus waive him over other pending UFA's in Schenn and Gustafsson?

He is the same age and from the same draft as Liljegren. So he's only going to get better.

The Leafs still have to ice a team next season, so glad we have a GM who can think 5 minutes or more into the future.

Please use logic. Please.
It should also be noted, if the leafs truly believed in what Timmins had for this season they wouldn’t be trading a mid round pick to get Schenn pushing Timmins down to the 8th or 9th spot.

Kerfoot is far more valuable right now than Timmins. Kerfoot has actually produced at a pretty high rate in the playoffs and is a top 9 player. 16 points in 37 games is pretty good when scoring goes way down. And Timmins needs to be developed.

Wanting to get rid of Kerfoot to keep Timmins as we head into the most important playoff series in 50 years is one of the dumbest things I’ve read in while.

Well, you just confirmed for all - you just don't know hockey at all.

The real life Alex Kerfoot of the board.

For the record, Malgin is and still was the best of the options they had at the time.

If you want, start a poll. Ask who here would waive Timmins for nothing, to keep Kerfoot.
In terms of draft pick currency I would say Timmins is worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick. But closer to 3rd. I would also say Kerfoot is worth around a 2nd or 3rd. But the leafs are in win now mode. And Timmins isn’t going to play for the leafs in the playoffs but Kerfoot will. I value that more than developing Timmins.

Was only able to watch half of last nights game… I couldn’t continue watching the poor effort from top to bottom any longer.

One thing was pretty clear to me though, we’ll definitely need another scoring option in that bottom six no doubt about it. Whenever the bottom six came out, if you’re counting on Acciari or Jarnkrok to score you big goals, that’s going to be a problem.

Hard to believe that a top 5 team in the league just added ROR, Acciari, and Lafferty and we still need another scoring option.

I just hope we are not seeing Sammy going off the cliff like he did last year.
