Absolutely. 3rd line has no identity, but we have to remember that the big 3 C's will have their own line.

This looks better.....

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Jarnkrok - O'Reilly - Nylander
Kerfoot - Tavares - Acciari
ZAR - Kampf - Lafferty

I still think we could use a middle 6 winger with a scoring touch

I think Knies will be signed but they may want someone they know can play now

Maybe if you have Tavares and Kerfoot on a line you just say **** it, I'm going to shelter them and get somebody like JVR on the cheap

555, ti nai krub? I'm a Sukhumvit expat and trying to wake up in the morn is difficult some days, but gosh this is exciting.
Chai, Canadian here but staying in Phra kanong during Canadian winters, building out my online biz. I'll be back in June if Toronto can make their way to the finals!!

I respect that but for me it is just pissing around for the sake of it

Oreilly and acciari arent neurtic magicians you dont really need to put in work to figure things out on their behalf

Do it the other way .. oreilly at center and see which third line options compliment a shut down

It much harder to have chemistry to create offensive than to defend.

In other words, Keefe is saying there is a good chance more deals are coming and that’s why I am not changing the lineups yet.
I think the lines are roughly set but 3rd line will be upgraded by getting a winger and dropping ROR or just changing them around after the deadline but I'd say they're still getting a winger.

Clearly they didn't like the makeup of the bottom 6 forwards and wanted to push down or rid of some d man altogether.

Basically what many have been saying all along.

If Konecny is hurt for the year, no interest. Would rather consider it in the offseason.

Perron and Terry are names I really like. But Terry is likely not available and probably can't be kept and would need to be flipped in the offseason.

I don't think Philly is selling.

As has been discussed many times here, Bertuzzi can't really play here, due to his Vaccine status. The US Border still requires vaccinations, for people travelling to the US, who aren't employed there.

Would love Crouse as well, also doubt they'd move him, without a dumb overpay.
The rules on that aren’t clear. He may be able to continue to cross the border if he maintains his US residency.
I don’t really want Bertuzzi because I think he is a bad fit to play with Tavares. He is slow and poor in his own end. So is Johnny to some extent but it would mean they would have to be sheltered. And I like having 4 lines I never have to worry about defensively right now.

Toffoli af 50 % would put this team over the edge

Knies—Matthews-Nylander
Bunting-Tavares-Marner
Kerfoot—O’Reilly-Toffoli
Acciari-Kampf-Lafferty

Yeah it would be tough but realistically I think most of us would be relatively pleased if Knies turned into what Crouse is now. Big 20 goal scorer on the LW. But Crouse is a sure thing and he's 25, fits the core's timeline perfectly, with four more cost-controlled years. He only makes 4.3. If we dangle Knies, we could probably have him on board for a cap hit of 3 or so. That's pretty valuable.

Though conversely Knies will have a sub 1 mil caphit for the next two seasons and the. Just starts his rfa contract. that carries extra value to the Leafs as they potentially have extended Matthews, Nylander and Marner contracts during that time frame. Crouse at 3 mil also likely means ROR is more difficult to extend too

Feels like Crouse or Jenner or Bertuzzi. No one else really makes sense. I'd probably lean Crouse due to age/team control.

Crouse is signed at a reasonable cap hit all through his prime years, probably a better deal than Bunting.

You can then maybe roll the dice on Knies next year on the 2nd line, address it by the TDL if needed.
