If the Leafs lose another first round. IMO as much as I hate to say it this falls on Keefe.

Players are picking it up
DUBAS literally filled every hole of need and exceeded expectations to add to an already top #4 team to make them better on paper both offense AND defense.

It's up to Keefe now to manage ice time and grow chemistry and get these players prepared for war.

If we fall again.... I can't point the finger to anyone else other than him and his staff for player preparation. Maybe this roster does better with another more experienced voice.

But I believe we're slaying our demands and Keefe will prove all the nay sayers wrong, but if I'm wrong again I can't defend the guy any longer... DUBAS I have no doubts I'd want to give him whatever he wants... Guy, has us all agreeing he hit this TDL out the park.

The coach and the stars. Everyone has to step up. I'm cautiously optimistic.

It all comes down to Matthews/nylander.

You have to show them you are all in. Then if it turns out they are not going to extend. Get your futures back
Holl 2 m
KERFOOT 3.5
Engvall 2.5

We could get another top 6 forward

Bunting Matthews xxxx
Janrok tavares nylander
Knies ror marner
Lafferty kampf acciari
Zar

McCabe brodie
Reilly lilly
Gio sandin
Timmins

I am a bit confused by this - are you saying that McCabe slides behind Gio and Timmins on the depth chart?
I very much forgot to mention "for next season". No strong inclinations regarding who might be the odd man out most of all on the blueline for the immediate future (obviously not McCabe and many of the vets). I'm mainly suggesting that I wouldn't be in a rush to trade away Sandin with Giordano and Timmins being potentially "risky".

In my opinion, Dubas is not done yet. There is still some work to do to shore up the D.

Luke Schenn and or Matthias Ekholm would certainly bring our defense up to a better comparison to our first round opponents - The Tampa Bay Lightning.

Eric Karlsson would be an awesome Pickup but I think the price is too steep, given the salary cap challenges that we have right now!

Where is Jensen? He would arguably be the best RHD on the team.

I'm sorry... Vancouver won't be doing us any favours there, and that package for Wilson/Jensen is insane.

I truly don't think they are done.

Kerfott, Engvall, Holl are easily expendable and there combined salaries can net a top 6 forward or dare say another top 4 dman

No to Wilson and Jensen and we don’t need Garland. O’Rielly is NOT a 3rd Line Center. Schenn and a Matthias Elkhom (Preds) would round out pretty well for us .

LW - Crouse (50%) @ $2,150,000 (4 yrs left)
LW - Fischer $1,125,875 (pending RFA)
RD - Brown $1,275,000 (1yr left)
G - Vejmelka $2,725,000 (2yrs left)
$7,275,875

for

2024 1st
Sandin ($1,400,000
Kerfoot ($3,500,000)
Engvall ($2,250,000)
Aston-Reese ($840,630)
$7,990,000

Bunting Matthews Marner
Tavares O'Reilly Nylander
Crouse Kämpf Järnkrok
Fisher Acciari Lafferty

Rielly Brodie
McCabe Lily
Gio Brown/Holl

Vejmelka

Honestly, all they need to do at this point is move salary out. It will probably be one of Engvall or Kerfoot for a player that makes less or a pick

Wonder how Montreal feels seeing what TB gave up for Jeannot and can't get that for Anderson because of his contract.

I was thinkin bout that miself. We have that much talent already.

Did yall see that speculation and raport that DUBAS AINT DONE YET? Facebook daily news etc. They sayin dubas finna do a tampa and not play murray like kuhcerov before the playoffa and also kerfoot is being dealt to vanucks????? Wow. We gittin that schenn money baby

Yes, we need to make a bit of room cap wise. I don't know if Schenn would come back in a trade for Kerfoot or not. It's a possibility for depth... but he wouldn't be a full time guy for us.

You think? He has the most hits in the nhl. Last game 0+3 for vanuucks. Etc. He got game like spike Lee do.

I'd wager Sandin is coming out of the lineup. The same way he did last year.
