What would be your key pieces be? This team needs scoring and Gabby is the best goal scorer on the team (even though he's under-preforming).
I think trading Gaborik is much harder than we think.
For the right return

That better be the best pick of all time...

If it was their 1st or 2nd would you bite? Morrow I think would play very well in this system, he could still have a 30 goal season left in him. If he craps the bed we have cap space, options and a pick headed into the offseason by only moving one single player.
I would rather something like that instead of blowing it up like everyone else wants.

No. You're seeing a different Morrow than I am.If it was their 1st or 2nd would you bite? Morrow I think would play very well in this system, he could still have a 30 goal season left in him. Gaborik for Voynov, Williams, 1st?
Kreider ++ for Ryan?
Oh, I would be a happy happy man.
ott at 2.9 is alot beter value than gabby at 7.5
gabby is streaky as hell, never battles in corners
and the package of a ott/boyle i believe is better than gabby
dan boyle has played with torts and richards, he is a vet who can still play, on the right side, and as a powerplay qb, he fills out our d
and ott can be that prust type player on the 3rd line
and hopefully zuccarello comes back, another depth player
we need to address our 3rd/4th lines ASAP, they are invisible, they need zucc's and a sparkplug player

The one I watch on Dallas goes to this blue part of the ice called the FRONT OF THE NET. A place many current Rangers rarely travel to, including Gabby. I still think Morrow would be a good fit for this team, he has also played with Richards in the past and could find chemistry.
i think many teams once they fall off will blow things up, like sabres/caps if they fall off, which could happen in a matter of days then the frenzy will begin
sabres lose there next couple game they could be open to trade anybody

in some respects this is a great sellers market....very few elite players will be avaliable, and if Gaborik is available you could...theoretically, get him for a kings ransom....theoretically. It really depends on which GM is willing to overpay. It would have to be a team that's on the cusp...
Hopefully the Rangers learn from 2012FA signings.
Helpern , Pyatt , Asham, Gilroy ,None of them are going to grow with the team and are all just fillers with no upside.
This summer I would love to see all that dead wood gone.
Replace it with Zuc ,Fast , Lindbergh, and McIrath if he is ready.
Sign some UFA depth that can grow with the team.
1. Stalberg
2. Fistric
3. Bozak
4. Summers
5. Schmidt
6. Wishart
Not only is it possible, but its entirely probable that group would be worse than this current bottom 6
Bozak would be very good addition.
Kreider-Bozak-Miller. Soild 3rd line.
Some poor sap is probably going to give him $4M and try and play him as a 2nd line center, though. He's adequate there, but no team is going to win a cup with Bozak as your #1/#2 center.
