Not sure the correct place but I have to ask. With us loading up here is DJ Smith given a short leash? Like he needs to start out well and show us as a playoff team right? I’ve been checked out so looking for that Sens board feedback.

The leash is going to be very short. With the roster DJ will have at his disposal there won't be any excuses.

Played with Capfriendly for a bit.

If we sign Giroux, we'll need to move out Brown or Zaitsev in order to obtain a top 4 D.

This is a different team. Training camp going well is a must. November they should be rolling over teams.

Norris. 51.1%
Giroux 60.3%
Pinto. 32.7%. Likely to quickly improve
Kastelic 58.3%

Starting with possession more should help the team’s GAA.
Not to mention more D-Zone time and less O-Zone time.

I need a final word on Giroux. Will it actually happen?

I can't handle waiting
It feels like, if we don't get Giroux tomorrow, it won't be because we weren't willing to pony up the cash or the term. It'll be because he really just wanted to go somewhere else.

We're making moves to complete for a playoff spot. Hopefully that's enticing to him.

I think it depends on what the Sens offer is. The Oilers or Canes just might come in hard for Giroux.
Don't think anybody really believes Edmonton is a viable option for Giroux. He wants to stay East.

Remember when PD wanted to buy at the deadline so that we has the fall 2023 team more or less together through the remaining games

Edit: just commentary, not judgement. I think he is knocking it out of the park so far
