DeBrincat is probably a better fit to play with Stutzle than Tkachuk anyways.

But he may have been more likely to extend.

If Matthew Tkachuk joined the Sens, there would be a ridiculously high % of between the legs shot attempts as I'm sure the brothers would go next level in that weird race. They'd have to create a new stat category for it.

I'm hoping Joseph can fill in for Nick Paul at least.

I think Giroux is a much better PP player and has better hands. He's also no slouch in the defensive department IMO.

I like Brown but he'll be paid too much to be a 3rd liner and he's not good enough on the PP to be a 2nd liner.
He definitely has better hands than Brown and would be better on the PP. However, I'm not worried about the PP. I think the team will be above average offensively next season. It's team defense that worries me. A regression from Forsberg wouldn't surprise me. The D-corps needs upgrading, as does the overall defensive system of the team. Losing Brown would weaken what is already weak.

Norris. 51.1%
Giroux 60.3%
Pinto. 32.7%. Likely to quickly improve
Kastelic 58.3%

Starting with possession more should help the team’s GAA.

Don't think anyone who called out the Balcers waiving was convinced he was going to be an impact guy. Balcers didn't need to succeed in the NHL for waiving him to be a mistake - all he needed was to be a replacement level player. Win for the team as they could have avoiding trading a 2nd round pick for another replacement level player (Stepan) while missing the playoffs by December anyway.

Of course a lot of that is tied into the abysmal pro scouting this team has been up to in recent years which can hopefully be fixed with the hiring of Bowness.

All those moves were trash
We received a free 2nd for picking up Cobourn and Paquette. Then we swapped Paquette for a nice little love fest with Dzingle for a few months, and Cobourne went at the deadline for another pick.

That deal would n particular was absolutely not trash.
