They are one of two teams that I could stomach seeing him play for.

NO. What is wrong with you? I don't understand the legion of Sens fans with a soft spot for the Bruins. Chara went there. Kelly ended there. They have a multitude of moronic idiot mass hole fans. They constantly beat us. I would puke if Alfie put that spoked B on.

I get it if you're a fan from before the Sens were around, but otherwise it makes no sense.

I hate them like a normal divisional rival

you seem to hate them much more than that for no reason at all

We let Chara leave for them. Goes on to win the cup. Kelly got traded there. They beat us soo much. It's irrational but mad do I ever dislike them.

Point is, if Alfie does go, it'd better be out of the division.

I wouldn't mind him playing on the Bruins if he wanted, but the thought of playing against Alfie?

We're not even out of a play off spot yet, and we're still above .500 wouldn't worry too much yet. This team may be able to turn it around yet.

Horribly, I could really see him being willing to go there if he decides to chase a Cup. Got some old friends there, a legitimate shot at a Cup and wouldn't be too far from home.

Seriously, though, heavily opposed to this. Do NOT want Alfie to ever play against the Sens. If he's gonna go, send him to Chicago or Vancouver.

I'd still keep my personal promise to myself to get an Alfie jersey for the new team and cheer the crap outta him in the playoffs, though

I consider Anderson an average starter, I'm sure some people here will disagree, but I fully expect Varlamov to turn into an elite goalie once the Avs turn the corner on the rebuild.

The Avs current defense lineup is Hejda, Barrie (rookie), O'byrne, O'Brien, Hunwick, Elliott (rookie), and Zanon. I wouldn't consider any of these players good top 4 defenseman. Elliott and Barrie are on their way, but are rookies and make mistakes.

Anyways, with the Anderson/Varlamov pissing match aside I came here because I seen Ottawa may have inquired about O'Reilly and was wondering what they might part with.

Craig Anderson laughs at your assessment of him.

Would love to see Alfie go to Boston if he wants to. They're who I'm picking to win the cup even without him... Would be fantastic to see him hoist it at least once.

Can Alfredsson play LW?

I am trying to think of guys Hawks could target at deadline to improve depth and I was thinking he could be good target if he was willing to accept a trade to Hawks

OK, let's talk ROR.

What if the Sens get this guy. Is he the 3rd line centre behind Spezza and Turris?

imo it would crazy to trade major assets for him and to pay him a lot of money for him to play that role.

So if he's top 2, with Turris, then Spezza is gone. Doubt that happens. Makes no real sense to me, why all the talk? (mostly on the main board)

And would you be comfortable with a ROR Turris top 2?

I doubt that Alfie would ask to go but......

As a loaner Alfie could be worth a prospect plus a conditional 1st / 2nd based on how far the Bruins go. If he re-signs with them next year then the Sens get another pick.

I don't think we can pretend that Anderson has been at his current level of consistency his entire time here.

He's given us decent to stellar goaltending since his arrival but seems to have stepped up significantly this year.

On the whole, he's right up there with the best we've ever had, if not the best due to his time served so far. The list of what we have had is rather pathetic though.

He is leftover. We figure out what to do when we cross that bridge.

So give up all those assets for ROR and pay him all that money, and then figure out a plan.

seems like it should be done the other way around

just don't see the room for that guy.

Smith/Da Costa/O'Brien/Grant. 2 bottom 6 centres can be found from those 4 to complement Spezza and Turris.

+ Zibanejad the wild card + the 1st rounder this year should be a centre

I agree and no I would not be as comfortable with that. Have grown ambivilant to adding ROR tbh.
