i hope they do.. they can use a upgrade even if it is a small one.. i wouldnt mind Tyrell as well... would add more depth up front .only 23 years old. quick and is a center....

but the Rangers have 8 D and no one has options to go down on D.......upfront Miller and Kreider do but they wont be going down.......so I doubt they do anything

I see McBain is scratched on D again for Carolina........I know most want to keep Boyle but salary for salary it works.........maybe Eminger goes back aswell and the Rangers get someone like Nodl back for F depth?.........I just think that deal makes sense for both teams

If it were me I would definitely take a flier on him.

Very good dman in college when his head was on straight (a little too infrequently). Would definitely up the nastiness factor on our blueline as well.

Murray is a pretty solid blueliner. Could be the Derek Morris signing to round out of defensive corps. If we do get him, Eminger needs to be dealt, or Bickel needs to be sent down. Its likely that both happen, actually.

If we were to get Murray for a prospect/3rd, we would need to send Eminger or Gilroy somewhere (waive or for a bottom pick). I think they keep Stu for the tougher games as a kamikazee 4th liner. Maybe waive Eminger, keep Stu & Gilroy and keep Boyle too. At the deadline - look around and see what we might need up front... or a PP specialist D that is UFA... We need a lot of depth for a long run

Maybe Boyle, mid-level prospect such as Thomas or Bourque and 3rd for Murray. I think a guy like Murray is exactly what the Rangers need.

thats too much, Boyle for Murray is too much in my opinion, Boyle has one yr left on his deal and Murray is a UFA. Usually teams that are contending wont just send a guy like Murray for a pick. They are going to want a good player back that will help now if they move him

Boyle, Thomas, 3rd for Clowe and Murray...but both have to sign 3 year extension before deal is made...those 2 additions would put us on par with Bruins and could take us to the promised land.

Orr Nightmare the topper would be pick up Colton at the dead line...

Orr
Clowe
Asham
Murray

A guy can dream cant he? Nasty team right there boy..

Clowe has been good for the Sharks and they are playing quite well. Why would they trade him to us? That's not even considering that we aren't offering nearly enough for Clowe AND Murray.

I don't think the Rangers are going to, nor need to, trade for any more top six talent. They should continue to look to improve the bottom six (which they've done a great job at) and solidify the bottom pairing (Gilroy has been playing well, he might be the solution).

That's a joke right?

Regardless, this board severely overrates Clowe. He is a good player but the way some of you talk about him you'd think he is the missing piece to any stanley cup team. He is Dubinsky. I'm not trading valuable pieces for him.

He is not as good as Dubinsky. IMO.
